My plan is to have the 27 as a second monitor (possibly vertical, never tried) and the 32 as mu primaryWarning: once you 32", you'll never go back to 27"

lol, we'll see, I'll report back. I do a triple monitor setup though so for me the problem is there's almost too much screen with 3 32'sWarning: once you 32", you'll never go back to 27"
My plan is to see if the 27's higher ppi is discernible compared to the 32, I haven't seen anyone who's had both comment on this yet. We'll see how it goes. I think 3 27's would be good but I'm concerned about the scaling on mac because the 32 version I need to scale that a lot too. I see guys talking about running 32 4k at native res, I think that's kind of hilarious. It's like a D measuring contest of who can use the smallest ui. 32 4k on native res looks ridiculously small. My plan is to have the 27 as a second monitor (possibly vertical, never tried) and the 32 as mu primary
I'm also very curious about that. Can't wait to compare. I was supposed to have my monitor today but Dell sent me an email couple of days ago to tell me it's gonna be lateMy plan is to see if the 27's higher ppi is discernible compared to the 32, I haven't seen anyone who's had both comment on this yet. I have the 32 and an old U2720Q. I don't really notice the difference in ppi, but you do notice that text are larger on the 32 and easier on the eyes. I am at about 75cm from my screens and I found some text on the 27 even at 150% scaling a tad too small. But everyone's preferences are different. I also had the U2723QE for a test run at some point and once you go for the U3223QE, you won't want to the smaller one.My plan is to see if the 27's higher ppi is discernible compared to the 32, I haven't seen anyone who's had both comment on this yet. I'm thinking that will be the case also. I don't like small text at all. I find it super annoying.I have the 32 and an old U2720Q. yes let me know, I'm getting mine wednesday from amazon, I'll let you know what I think then.I'm also very curious about that. Can't wait to compare. I was supposed to have my monitor today but Dell sent me an email couple of days ago to tell me it's gonna be late
I moved my 32" back at about 90cm from my eyes to reduce head turning. I also have progressive prescription (-1.00, +0.75) but I do have dedicated single vision prescription (-0.5) for computer use.I find with the larger displays you start turning your head more and more to see things which becomes fatiguing. Also if you approach a certain age and start wearing progressives, your focal area is much smaller exacerbating this problem.
I have single vision glasses dedicated to computer use for this reason. I've been running my 27" at the largest size scaling and haven't found I'm hurting for screen real estate, and don't need to pivot my head around too much. Using it at arms length and have my 14" MBP sitting on an arm/tray beside it as a 2nd screen.
At least a short power off/on of the screen solves that problem with the ethernet port in my caseJust thought I'd also mention that with the ethernet issue, we've managed to reproduce it with USB adapters plugged into USB hub of the monitor, it does the same thing, goes to sleep and won't wake up.
Currently at support call with dell as I want a replacement display my display only delivers 1400:1 ratio and as they are advertising 2000:1 then I want a replacement.
The support staff in the phone did not even know what I was talking about and tried all bunch off stuff that was totally wrong.
The contrast ratio are limited to the hardware. can't understand that there premium support did not know that. And when I was telling them that I have confirmed it with a colormeter and a spectrameter they was just replaying that they don't have support for 3rd party equipment. Tried to explain it for them but it was a lost case.
Finally I did get a hold of a good support staff on Facebook (dell) let's hope he can replace it.
Edit:
So he did transfer the case to senior staff that will replay to me within two days.
If Dell don't replace this display I'll get so disappointed as the contrast ratio is only 73% of what they promise.
1400:1 is not good for a display that promise 2000:1. My guess is that's some kind of "issue" with the rev00 display sadly.
Well, I have tried three rev00 and all of them have contrast ratio at 1400:1 or 1500:1. Here in Sweden I can't sue in the way you can in the states. If it's a problem with rev00, the only real solution would be a recall and replacement program, and/or a class action lawsuit for false advertising.
It's not bad, macOS will handle this fine if you have activated "Optimised battery charging"I just got a Dell U3223QE with USB-C charging to connect my 2021 MacBook Pro to the display. I notice it always powers my laptop. I was just wondering is it bad that this cable is always actively charging my laptop?
Would this degrade my battery?
Please advise.
Thank you in advance.
Well, recently I've tested a third Rev A01 and that one had also a lower contrast ratio (1600:1) than the previous other two A01 I had. But it is also depends on the black uniformity of the panel (i.e. backlight bleed). Sometimes a panel gives worse contrast in the centre, while other places have good contrast values. For best comparisons you need to measure multiple places (centre, corners, etc.) and mean the results.Well, I have tried three rev00 and all of them have contrast ratio at 1400:1 or 1500:1. But I do have some laws that Dell need to follow so what I can do is go to a government office and tell them about it.
I have been in contact with other with rev00 that has contrast ratio of the same low one that I have. The new Rev don't have this issue.

I installed an app called Al dente. I can configure the maximum charge to whatever I want.I just got a Dell U3223QE with USB-C charging to connect my 2021 MacBook Pro to the display. Wow Dell! I ordered a 3223qe. When bought, the ETA was 1 week later.
After 2 days, I was pushed back 1 week and this morning a new email, it's pushed back to Juiy 19 ?.
thanks! make sense. I ordered the 27inches few weeks ago. ETA was one month later but I got it in less than 2 weeksIf it makes you feel any better, it was September a few weeks ago. But Dell always over estimate the ETA, I wouldn't be surprised if you get it end of June or beginning of July.
