Those random black screens are often caused by interference. Make sure the AC power cord is not near any of the data cables, that fixed it on my previous Dell monitor, just moving them apart.

Not having any issues on my current one (U2723QE).
That is why I bought a coaxial USB-C to DP cable, i.e. shielded.

@Dentifrice As I said before, go out and by a more expensive cable, your monitor is not faulty. One cable may work with one computer but not another. It is all about the signal cowing out of you computer, and they are not created equal.
Only then you will know if cable is at fault, but I bet 99% it is the cable.

Already bought from amazon, should receive on Tuesday!

I ordered this monitor (3223QE) last month and received it in mail. A few observations:

1. The manufacturing date clearly says Jun 2022. I am wondering if this batch has most issues resolved.

2. I have not run into any firmware issues yet.

3. This monitor came pre calibrated but I rather test on my own. I need to find the best method for this bb

4. The HDR color saturation is fairly weak. I don’t mind a lousy HDR implementation since I hardly use this.

5. Text is insanely sharp for a 32 inch 4K monitor. I am definitely thinking about purchasing another one.

6. My main uses are coding and light gaming. I have run into zero issues with this monitor.

I am willing to run any tests / post pics so feel free to request this from me.

Ok guys, I received my “premium” hdmi and DP cables.

First thing I notice with HDMI and my old windows laptop, I can now output at 4K/60hz.

Previously I was stuck at 30hz. The monitor didn’t black out yet. It was happening very often before.

Now for DP, I’ll need to wait longer since the problem was rare.

Funny how my old hdmi cable was working great at 4k/60hz in my home theater and now with my computers, nope. Those cables were also certified for 4K/8K but with 18gb of bandwidth. This new cable is certified for 48gbs

I told you so ;). (Sorry, couldn't resist). I am glad it is working fine, it was the cables after all...
I didn’t argue ;) I was just doing more troubleshooting while waiting for the cables 😁

I’ll confirm tomorrow after trying for more than 10 min

It just doesn’t make any sense that my old cables were working with my 27in. It’s the same monitor but smaller…

Hello guys

I just received it but the colors are not very flashy looks like there is a grey veil on it. I played around with it and I prefer these settings, can someone tell me if that makes sense?

Luminosity: 85%
Contrast: 88%
Colorimetry: I selected DCI-P3 and same on Macbook Pro
USB Priority: high resolution (looks like it is for having 60 Hz

I don't know if I should put it on the left side or the right of my desk.

Now it looks better because when I plugged it I was underwlehmed to be honest. The USB-C cable is too short, no?

Regarding the greyish colors, I think you're used to the glossy screen of your mac which make the colors more vibrant. The Dell has semi glossy finish unfortunately.

Indeed, I am getting used to the greyish thing. I am starting to enjoy the monitor more and more...Only issue is that video of Amy, have you guys seeing the stuttering/flickering on it? It is so annoying.

No problem for me. Do you watch it in Safari? Full screen?

Just the Amy Winehouse video I shared earlier. Also my 60 Hz is NTSC and I am in Europe. Shouldn't be PAL?

EDIT: You mean shot a video? Yes I did with my iPhone and the stutering is desappearing ion my iPhone when I look at the video. So weird. But when I play it on my MacBook Pro the effect is slightly noticeable and when I play it on the Dell, it is worst. Very very weird. I am so confused.

Well my problems are back! It’s not the cables.

Now I can say the problem happens after the monitors have been on for several hours.

Heat problem? IDK

Dell is sending me a another unit. Problems are still there, no matter which cables I use and it starts after 2-3 hours of use, so when it became hot.

Out of curiosity, what is the manufactured date of you U3223QE? Mine is April

What is your Rev number as your unit is manufactured last month?

Hey guys, I'm struggling with the Dell u2723qe.

I'm trying to connect a second display via daisy chain to the monitor, but the second monitor only runs at 30 hz.

When I set the Dell Monitor for higher resolution and not faster data transfer it just loses the connection completely and says that there is no usb-c connection.
The port on the Laptop is Thunderbolt 3 so I should be able to get both of the displays on 4K 60 hz right?
