Hmm no release notes
That's a bit strange, but I've tested a few beta versions of the M2T102 and they contain at least the following fixes:
- HDR flickering problem is solved
- the set SDR mode (e.g. sRGB, Custom) is now saved after disabling HDR in Windows and so not swichted back to the default Standard mode anymore

What would be everyone’s opinion on a second monitor to my

U3421WE

27” or 32” ?

So one either side is what you’re telling my bank account?!
I have tried 32" and many different combos and I did end up with two 27" side by side. One in the center of my eyes and the other a little angeled against my.
Works perfect.

I ordered the 27" last week and received it last week Friday. I like it so far.

I will likely get a second 27" in the foreseeable future.

That's the way to go according to me :) Two 27" is the sweet spot. 32" is to big for me and I need to move my head a lot but with two 27" I can just focus on one in the center and work with the other in a little angel against me.

According to the people that know about ergonomics that's the way to go

I have a frustrating issue with my 27 inch version, apologies if this has been touched on before. I have my Mac mini connected via USB C and my xbox via HDMI.

If my Mini is in standby and turn on the xbox the screen powers up but once I go to use the mini again I cannot get the screen to switch back. Even if I repeatedly select USB C in the menu or have auto select on. The only way I can get back to USB C is to hit the power button and cycle. Then it switches back but annoyingly I have a spare drive attached to the monitor so it states my drive wasn't ejected properly.

The same happens with a laptop plugged into DP, the only way to switch back sources is to power off.

Any help?

New version of DDPM asked for access rights on "System Events". Does anyone know whats it needs it for?
MacOS AppleScript uses System Events for a bunch of things like changing your desktop, screensaver, and other parts of the user interface. Theres some security implications of a random application moving windows around, so MacOS now requires your approval before apps can use it.

DDPM has a bunch of window management features to move and rearrange the windows on your screen across your monitors, and it uses AppleScript a bunch too. So thats probably why.

edit: checked and confirmed that DDPM is using AppleScript

Anyone else use the built-in Ethernet and experiencing this problem?
I started using the Ethernet port on the Dell U2723QE, but a few times now I have restarted and there is no ethernet connection. If I unplug/plug-in the USB-C connection, it will come back. But it's annoying.

2021 MacBook Pro 14
I have problem with ethernet as well. macbook 13" 2017 touchpad

Interesting. I had this problem several times before, but it hasn't happened again for a while now.
I also made sure to update the firmware to M2T102.
I think it's due to mixing USB/USB2/USB-C lines. Do you have some legacy USB peripheral connected to the monitor?

Anyone coming from a 5K display? I'm wondering just how noticeable of a downgrade this would be in regards of text clarity when using a 2560x1440 workspace. I usually sit at least 2 feet away from my monitor.

I spoke too soon. Just did a restart, and it happened again. Another restart and the Ethernet port started working again.
I have a couple Logitech wireless mouse dongles attached to the USB A hub in back.

That's it. I have Dell UP2720Q with the thunberbolt connection and I had to disconnect all legacy USB devices from the monitor and plugged them directly (or over a separated hub) to the mac. The ethernet, in my case over usb-c dongle, could be plugged to the monitor. Weird is that this problem is linked to M1 processors only, with the Intel mac I had zero issues.

You send feedback to Apple on the processor cache not updating the port using Apple FeedBack! An old fr9end told me programmers actually read these feedbacks!

Ofc they read it.
The line is like this;
1. One person verify that the issue are legit and try to reproduce it.
2. If it’s legit it goes back to the scum master or similar that will but it for more reasearch

Hey jabbr, I use the 34" beside a LG5k and text clarity on the 5k is definitely sharper but if I didn't have the two beside each other I don't think I would mind too much. However when I look from the Dell to the LG it's noticeable.
