i didn't get an extra cable because i'm already forking a lot of money over to apple. i don't want to pay $30 or whatever the price is to save myself 10 seconds in rolling up the one cable i'll have and packing it if i need it on the go. one cable will do.

I was going to get one with my preorder, but I did not know the length of the cable that was supposed to come with the watch. I want another one with a different length just so that they could serve a different purpose.

Apples website stated that the Milanese came with a 1 meter cable. I checked twice before ordering a 2m cable now it says it comes with a 2m cable.
I screwed that one up.

no, ill wait for bestbuy to get them since i have over 90 bucks worth of points that i can spend. since i will be mounting one on a dock so i dont want to you know take it out every time i have to go somewhere long time.
Interesting how the shipment date says 4/24
Received mine at home today via UPS at 11:30am. It shipped yesterday from the Harrisburg PA distribution center and was sent UPS ground to Westchester County, NY.
I ordered a spare because where i plan to charge the watch overnight in the bedroom will require routing the cable behind a dresser to an outlet and it will be a pain to remove. I travel often for work and want one in my bag.
fyi, it's the cable only, no outlet plug. It doesn't matter because I have a ton of them from previous phones.

I did and it was delivered today. Via Ontrac, I am not a fan with that delivery service, they left it at the front door, as soon as I got home it was not there so now I am without a charging cable, will be contacting apple tomorrow because I am guessing it was stolen, but just to be sure I am going to ask my neighbors. This is lame!!!
I doubt we will. Apple have become smart about their genuine cables. A few software updates and the third party cable you have becomes obsolete.
FYI: the watch already comes with a 2 meter long cable If that helps. I almost bought one separately because I thought the watch came with a 1 meter cable, but it turns out I was wrong.
FYI, if you order a charger today, it ships today. It said 7-10 business days for the 2 meter, but I just got a shipping notice. I should have it Monday.
I read somewhere that the charging cable for the Sports Watches has a plastic disc; unlike the metal disc included with the other models. I wonder if you can buy an extra charging cable with the metal disc
Both versions on Apple's store show the metal backs.

Great, thank you! From the pictures I saw the plastic disc included with the Sports Watch looked rather cheap to me. I'll probably order the extra charging cable. No rush, though, as I'm in the May delivery group.

I can see myself now, just walking around swinging that charger. Then when someone asks to see my Apple Watch. I'll just tell them I left it at home
