did you get your 17" C2D MBP yet?

Clicked reload on the order status page. Nothing changed.

The clock had clicked past midnight.

*sigh* damned widget playing with my hopes and dreams of a tracking number :(

When I installed the widget, putting in my email and web order number it says, "Shipping Soon." I reloaded it about 10 times and it still says, "shipping soon." However, when I go into my account on Apple.com it does not say that it is shipping soon, it just says "not yet shipped." I'm wondering how it knows it is shipping soon?
 
Here we are late on the 7th (in China) and still no charge on my card (the authorization made on the 1st is gone, too).

And no update on my order status. :(

It still says ships by Nov 7, delivered by Nov 8 (tomorrow). Something tells me they'll miss that Nov 8 date.

FWIW, I am based in the US (Ohio). MY 17" says ship by Nov 8 and delivered by Nov 14. I just spoke with Apple (1-800-MY-APPLE) and she told me there is NO SIGN of a delay on her end. She said she expects my order to still be shipped by Nov 8th. She told me if a delay was imminent, then I should have received an email by now stating so......so we will see what the next 24 hrs holds!

yeh called them twice today, one person said it is stuck in the system will be a* few days before it ships and the other person said it is on track to ship today.

Might phone a third time later today!!

Just talked to apple. I was told that the most recent information he could see was that my order would ship on the 8th. Website doesn't reflect that.
I haven't gotten any notification from apple about anything. I wonder when the website will change. more importantly, i wonder when it will actually ship.

it occurs to me that this could be an expanding delay... like what the airport does. they incrementally add time as each progressive deadline (departure time) comes and goes.

these things have to ship at some point, right?

Hi, my name's bem, and i ordered my mac 2 weeks ago. My G4 TiBook and my G5 iMac just aren't giving me the rush i need. the TiBook was just a Gateway drug to stronger stuff.

is it bad i have the DT's from a laptop order? :eek:

i ordered it 725 PST on 10-24. He said orders were being filled on a FIFO basis. how many people could have ordered before me?

I ordered at 6:00am PST on 10-24. Nothing has happened with mine either. :-/

Still no change

Called Apple and the rep states my order will be shipped on or before November 8th. (eventhough I ordered on the 24th. my order always had an est. shipping date for the 8th. while most of yours are for today). Believed it was because i ordered the glossy screen but that does not appear to be the case. Hope things don't change when California wakes up.:eek:

What, sounds like some old fart that thinks your order is a piece of paper that physically gets "stuck" somewhere...
Online orders with Apple that show up fine shouldn't have any way of getting "stuck", sounds like a ******** explanation, they prrobably just don't know exactly what's happenign would be my guess.
They didn't exactly jump the gun on these 17"'ers though, seems none have shipped yet, while plenty of the 15's shipped early.

After reading your thread this morning, when I called Apple I mentioned that when I ordered the 17" MBP the website stated 7 to 10 business days and those are long past. I pushed her a bit stating that I will have to change the delivery address if it does not ship tomorrow as my brother in law is flying to Trinidad next Tuesday with the MBP. She said I will have it well before the 14th. Still feel unsure untill we at least receive a couple of happy threads of people mentioning their 17" have shipped. Oh well, keep refreshing my widget - while my stomach is in knots.
 
My call to Apple didn't go so well. The rep said that my order was still in "processing" state and that meant "they were still putting it together." I asked her if that meant it was unlikely to ship today and she said "yes" without much hesitation.

She also questioned why they charged me for overnight shipping. She said that was impossible from their "overseas" factory. So she refunded my shipping charge and said to expect it 2-3 days after shipping. And to call back or check online in a couple of days to find out when that shipment may be. :(

Just called also, was told it would definitely be shipped this evening. Hopefully, with 2 day shipping it'll arrive before the weekend.

I'll post my tracing details when I get them.
 
apple call

just got off with apple, who said that my mbp17 (canada, ordered the night of announcement oct24) now has an estimated ship date of nov9. this is odd though, as the web pane of Order Status still says the same thing it's said since the beginning: "Ships by: Nov 07".

the representative added expedited shipping, as i mentioned that this falls beyond the 10 day bit the store had said when i placed the order... so at least i have that to be happy about.
 
i was hoping to have mine by 10th Nov, can't see that happening now!! :(

i just hope it comes by 14th Nov which is the Est. Date
 
I called and was told it'll ship today and I got a free shipping upgrade. Fun stuff. Not buying it, though. I think Apple messed up and couldn't get them ready in time and we're all hosed. We'll just have to see.
 
I ordered a MBP 17" 2.33 GHz C2D Glossy 3GB 160HD on the 26th. Just called apple and the rep said it would definitely ship by Nov. 9th(my original ship date) but he said that I would receive in Arizona no later than Nov. 14th(my original was the 15th). At least I gained a day, supposedly.
