Though Nov 7th is far from over in the USA, here's a thought: The holiday season is just around the corner. Could Mac be concerned that panic of delays might bite into peoples purchasing decisions between one brand and another? People usually like to receive their actual gift on the holiday, not a notice that it will be shipping. I'd like to think they are freaking at Mac headquarters, concerned that word of delays could have a spillover effect.

I'm sure I'm reaching here, but perception is reality.

This place really is a support group, thanks for the sentiments.

I actually have a confession to make... I was getting so impatient that I ordered off eBay a reconditioned 12" 1.2Ghz iBook with 512Mb RAM at the weekend and it's on course to get to me my either Friday or Monday. So it looks like the slower Mac will get to me first... Always pre-plan a backup when you want to be in a happy mood for a weekend.

The orders which have been delayed now match with my expected shipping (14th) and delivery (20th). I ordered mine on the 2nd, so I'm definetely not one of the first ones to place my order.
I wonder if my order is going to be delayed further too, or if we all get them around the 20th?!

as of 3:20pm Eastern Standard Time (Toronto, Canada) >>> my order still says as my signature entails. "Ships by: Nov 07" - even though an apple rep on the phone said "Nov 09 for sure" around 10AM.

Hmmm,

I am still showing Nov 7th/15th for the US

I wonder if they delay if I can cancel the order (just to buy a 15" at the local Apple Store which has them)...

Mine has also changed, Shipping 14th Nov, Deliver 20th - 21st Nov.

I am not Happy!!!, i think i will be having words with Apple!!

Apple are jokers!

My estimated shipping date is 7th of November.
I rang today at 2 o' Clock and was told that my order is being processed and will definitely ship today without any doubt.
Its now 8:30pm and no change at all on my account page.
On top of this i have received a do not reply e-mail from Apple, and get this.

The e-mail is empty. There is no attached document and no text at all. What kind of company are they running.

The Apple reps i was talking to today knew absolutely f**k all about anything i asked them they could tell me what i could check myself online if i wanted to. Its an absolute joke. I will be talking to them first thing in the morning to find out why i have a blank e-mail from them and when exactly my MBP will ship.

Not one bit happy. 10 days of a delay without any change on my account is bad enough without the product shipping in the first place. And i ordered within 15 minutes of the update on the 24th of October.

As a U.S. Location who did my Order on the 24th at 6:05 PST I decided to ping them to see if there were any problems with my order. I seem to get this canned responce back.

Thank you for contacting Apple.

We apologize for any inconvenience. This order is progressing normally. To view the status of the order please go to <http://www.apple.com/orderstatus>.

Ha! That's awesome. I just forwarded your post to my wife so she can see that I'm not the only person in the world like that. :D

Isn't it crazy? I already have an MBP to use (granted it's got too little RAM), and I'm still on this site and checking my status widget every 10 minutes like a little kid.

Is the title of the thread "did you get your 15" C2D MBP yet?"...starting out a post like that will give us waiting for our 17" a heart attack - stop it!
