If this helps at all, here is my tracking data from my 15" that was delivered this AM. it was ordered last tuesday with the express 2-3 day shipping option.

So if you all notice, we missed FedEx's cutoff time for pickups. This means our shipments will really go out on Tuesday local time.

Thanks Shecky - nice that you've kept up with us folks in this thread :)

When do you finally get home to your new intel-inside beast :p?

Is there anyone here in the UK who has received something from TNT later than 5pm? I called today and they said it would be there before 5, and that it would definitely come today.

It's 4.40pm and it's not here yet. :(

from what i can tell, of the orders that shipped early on the 15" forum, they all seemed to ship around the same day.

It also seems that the difference comes in that they go to different shipping companies. The folks in closer to china seem to get it faster... (well, they're closer, so that makes sense).

I couldn't tell if there was a keyboard difference delay. but the shipments to europe seemed to start off at about the same time the US bound macs did.

There seems to have been a lot of speculation about destination timezone being when notices get sent out. That may have been true of the delay notices from apple, but the shipping notices all have to do with when the boxes ship. So, when the shipping company going to your house picks up the package, they let you know.

so when do the UK MBPs ship after US?

thanks, that's really helpful.

from what i've seen, because of that weekend in there, they treated you like it was not an express shipment. it looks like the standard shipping gets sent through indinana. express goes from anchorage to a more local destination.
here's to hoping anyway.

yeah, and 30-50 hours is about right.

we should be fine.

yeah, we missed today's flight, but i think we'll be on tomorrow morning's flight. and that should be sometime tonight for us here on the east coast.

hopefully, it'll be in anchorage tomorrow morning (local, afternoon our time).

and maybe, just maybe we'll get them on wednesday.... perhaps, more likely, thursday.

perhaps. notice all the extremely early morning activity though.
stay positive! we're nearly there :D

I think you just made my brain pop. lol
All these time zones!!

Still - I admit that you're probably right.
I actually am hoping for Tuesday or Thursday (late-lecture days), otherwise I'll likely have to miss a single lecture (Wednesday or Friday) to be home for it. No biggie though. Sucks being a student sometimes :p

My courier fella says he hits my place around 10AM every day. I'm going to check on that though.

Yup, ordered a mighty mouse a month back. Was supposed to turn up before 5pm, was delivered at around 5:30.

Must be my ADC-discount that slows it down, as I ordered early...
At least they're starting to ship...

Congrats Shecky. Got your 15" just in time for the 17" to begin shipping. :p

Looks like we'll have some pics and first impressions by Wednesday. Hoping tomorrow will be mini C2D & 8-Core Mac Pro announcement day.

How disappointing. Did you also order on the 24th or later? I'd like to know if anyone who ordered on the 24th might be getting this email also.
I ordered at what you guys would refer to as 11.45am PST (7.45pm GMT) on the 24th. I just spoke to Apple and they have no record of the email ever been sent out so they're investigating...
Mine was meant to ship on the 7th and today

16th for Europe

Yes, i found the same email when I came home: shipping at the 16th November:mad:

They say due to unexpected high demand....

and so we continue waiting for the 17" European batch,

I hope there will be first receivers soon, so we can already get some first impressions for us poor Europeans:)

Shipment!

My stock matte 17" has shipped as well. I just woke up to the best news all month.
Got the email at 16:01 GMT (8:01 PST).

I'm hoping for a Wednesday delivery, so I can have it before I go out of town. Somehow I get the feeling that won't happen.

I still need to verify whether or not I got the shipping for free.
