Has anyone else who ordered before 8am PST on Oct. 24th in the U.S. not yet received a shipment notification?

I ordered at 6:58am PST on the October 24th with an ADC discount. I'm trying to figure out if Apple is poised to delay ADC orders, or if their working their way through the queue based on when orders were placed.

I ordered my 17" MBP (Default Spec) on 24th October by phone minutes after the Apple Store came back online after the MBP update (in the UK).

My order was originally supposed to be shipped on the 7th and received on the 14th.

Then I received an email from Apple saying it would be shipped on the 13th!

Then my order status said it would be shipped on the 14th and delivered on the 23rd!

I called Apple and they told me it would be shipped on the 13th. I complained.
I called again the following day to see if they has got an answer back from my complaint. I was told that my mac would now be shipping on the 14th!

I received an email today saying that my MBP would ship on the 16th now! I called Apple and they told me it would be the 15th!

What a load of BS!!!!

I have no idea when my machine is going to ship and I don't think Apple do either which is the big problem! I will be sending a complaint and I'm debating starting a petition too, to get them to sort themselves out!

Got my serial number already...

I was just looking at the invoice and noticed that my 17"s serial number was on there. So of course I went to see what I could find out...

Production year: 2006
Production week: 45 (November)
Production number: 311 (within this week)

So (maybe) there are at least 310 other 17"s going out with mine :D

FedEx is still just showing "Package Data Transmitted" :(

in-store...

The word from my store is "on their way" and "any day now". That's about as specific as I'll get from my source. I'm on their waiting list, so there can't really be a shipping notice - to me anyway.

Congrats to those who are finally getting the 17s! I look forward to the first impressions.

I haven't gotten a delay notice yet. So maybe I'll get a shipping notice?

But mine is an ADC order and I placed it late in the evening of the 24th, so I won't be surprised if I get the dreaded delay email again. :(

i just called fedex to confirm..

they said that apple barel missed the cut-off time, and that they will definitely be departing shanghai tomorrow.

predictable, yes, but i wanted to comfort myself (and some of you perhaps) :)

Have you tried to get any free shipping or $50/100 discount with ADC? I tried and received a $100 discount and free shipping but then was informed that I had to email ADC to confirm. So far the discounts have been withdrawn and nothing new has shown up on my order page in the last few days. It was strange to see my system discounted $100 and then two hours later the discount was gone. Just wondering if there is a different policy for ADC or edu compared to normal ordering.

That makes it unlikely I'll get it before i leave town on Thursday. :( Then again, I said they missed the cutoff time in an earlier post.

I did get the free shipping. I didn't try for the discount. I've been too busy during the day. It's at night that I sit here and hit reload on the order status. :)

Although I'm in Canada, I ordered at 6:01am PST on the 24th and still haven't received any shipping confirmation... :(
