I was stuck in an endless staff meeting. After four (4!) hours we adjourned I rushed to my (soon to be my dad's) powerbook and the mythical shipping email was waiting for me. Fed Ex says they just have the package data.

I think there is a google earth add-on that tracks individual aircraft. Might have to fire that up.

hey, anyone in Australia got an email for shipping or delay today? mine was meant to ship on the 14th, Apple says it is still on par to ship but we've all heard that. I know uk got a delay but USA and Canada got them. Any of our Aussie buds got some news??

It's not just the glossies shipping then, and it may not have been the displays that caused the delay after all...

by the way.. this is my first portable computer ever.. can any of you direct me to a thread/forum/discussion/article/link/website etc.. where I can learn a bit about do's and dont's.. things to install.. etc .. just to get more my feet wet with this new machineand using a portable!

I mainly do photoshop work and CFP!

nope, mine was shipped around 9AM EST

and by the by, to all.. i've got a website ready to go as soon as i get my machine. unboxing + unboxed pictures will be posted at that point, with the url posted here at that time.

Great, same here, I have been able to cancel until now, but no more. Stock here, meaning Matte screen. Ship date online still says 14th, but I got the mail yesterday that said 16th. Bank account not been charged yet though.
Was everyones account charged before the machines shipped? (They did the authorization when I ordered.)

The tracking doesnt work (its TNT - who are useless IMO) but it says itll be here by the 20th..

Standard 17" with 100gig 7200RPM - Ordered 24th (less than an hour after release)

Just checked ordered status site rather than widget and i can no longer cancel, this is the first time this has happened since 24th, so I hope it will ship today!

The tracking doesnt work (its TNT - who are useless IMO) but it says itll be here by the 20th..

I have had the same problem with tracking TNT shipments, it just takes a while before the Apple Order Status page shows the correct tracking number.
