I would think on flight 24 seeing as 24 originated in China, and would make more sense to keep it on the same flight vice unloading and reloading on a different plane. of course, just because something makes sense doesn't mean its the way its done.:rolleyes:

Good, because 24 looks to be in American airspace now! It's good to be home.
 
What are the chances of mine shipping 2morrow? I ordered on Oct 26 at 2:35 pm. Original date was the 9th and now its between the 15th and the 17th. I also ordered through the US edu store online, I dont know if that makes a difference. Anyone think mine will ship? Any input would be great. If it goes out ontime 2morrow, I should have it Friday!
 
flight 24

FedEx Flight 24 is now near Minneapolis, MN and is scheduled to land in Indianapolis in around 1 hour. Some of us will be getting our machines tomorrow...
 
On my credit card, I have been charged for my APPLE CARE.. but not for the computer... MY STATUS is "not yet shipped".....

I thought there was a restocking fee only after 14 days or if you break the seal on the box.... Or is there also a restocking fee 'cause I got the 3GBs RAM?

The 3GB makes that a CTO order which can not be returned, only repaired as far as I know.
 
I made my order on Nov. 1st and my credit card has been charged yesterday.

Estimated shipping Time is on Nov. 16. has not changed a single time
ETA: Nov. 21

I'm still a little nervous :S

Anyone else made his order on Nov. 1?

Watching the MD11

Here I am at work watching the FED EX planes fly (our plane has just entered Wisconsin) Cannot believe I am doing this. Hey at least as an Aviation Meteorologist I am supposed to be watching airplanes. I wonder if anyone will get one Wednesday.

SMS from China??

I just got an unintelligible SMS message. Looking up the country code, it is from China. Now I know nobody in China and can't think why anyone in China would SMS me. Only thing I can think of is I have a laptop due to arrive, maybe from China? Anyone else get any wierd SMS messages?
 
I'm interested in point A (the factory) to point B (out for delivery) status before I get excited. I can careless what the Fedex pilots name is, sexual preference, what he ate for dinner, or which Fedex plane my computer is on. They damage my box and I'm gonna beat some tail.
 
Reading all these posts make me laugh out loud. You're all insane. I mean it in the nicest possible way though, since I'm equally bonkers. But some of you are actually crazy. Like really.

I also ordered on the 26th at 10 am pst with ADC. I was scared that the ADC discount might delay the shipping but there have been at least two people who have received fedex numbers today so I don't think adc or edu matter. We should get our emails tomorrow and hopefully receive on Friday or early next week.
 
Fed Ex into Indiana

If enough of us are insane than we shall become the new sane and will be able to label the rest insane. This has been rather amusing and will be rather sad if someone forces us to reread this 6 months from now (that is except you people who are anxiously awaiting your Santa Rosa upgraded MBP)

No argument from me... :D

...as I hit reload on that flight tracker site. As a pilot, I know tens of thousands of flights land safely every day. But I won't be comfortable until my new toy is safely on the ground at IAD.

even if you call, they won't know. by the time they figured it out, it will have already gone through the next step.
only way i figured it out was by deduction.
status change times corresponding with flight departure/arrival times.
 
Anyone in the SF Bay area who is engaging ultra-nerd mode and tracking aircraft will want to keep an eye on FDX 1705 from IND to OAK (departs IND 0411 EST, arrives OAK 0540 PST). If it doesn't make it on that flight, it'll be on either FDX 3715 (arrives SJC around 1700 PST) or FDX 3702 (arrives OAK around 1730).

Here's hoping my macbook hops on 1705.
 
FX 24 is about to land

hopefully in the next couple of hours, we'll start getting updates about macs leaving indiana. only down side is that we don't know where they're going until they get there... there are a few airports that could service me.
 
Ok, looks like we're at 1600ft now. Final approach!

[Oops, never mind, I didn't check the elevation of the field. I don't even have a chart for up there. My 172 can only go so far. :)]

they did something strange: at 10:45 they changed the estimated arrival time to 10:34. hmmm... maybe it's already on the ground.
