How'd you figure it landed in SLC Darkwing??? Mine left at 2:41...are they together???

Maybe I messed up the time zones. I was under the impression earlier it left IND and made it to MEM in time to catch the SLC flight. FedEx is really slow to update, so hopefully it was on that flight. If not, then it'll be tomorrow. Oh well. I was really tired (came into work at 5 am) and maybe missed something. But hey, I could have been right too, ya know.

Now I see what I did wrong. I was looking at the departure info for Memphis, but thought it was IND... then I confused myself again later. Who knows where it went, then.

yeah, fedex is slow to update.
but i know mine is on a truck, and i'll get it today.

i'm still amazed that they can get a bulk package from china to gettysburg, PA in 24 hours. the logistic complexity of moving that many packages to that many places that fast just boggles my mind.

so, even with the delay, it's still 2 days before the end of the original estimated shipping from apple that they gave us in the begining.

It must have gone out on one of the many flights from IND, as I don't see any IND to SLC flights. If it doesn't fly to SLC until tomorrow morning from Memphis then that kinda sucks. I can still get it set up and ready to go before I fly back to California, but it'll be more of a pain.

gaah! did the fedex page update to tell you that or did you have to call them? i'm in SC but status still only shows "departed fedex location Indianapolis". Anyone know where the next stop would be for delivery to SC?

I just called FedEx. Their tracking status still shows my package as in Mississauga. However, the FedEx CSR said that the Ottawa-bound packages are indeed in Ottawa, but the scanning data hasn't shown up yet.

He told me that 40 units were in Ottawa (of course I don't know if they are all MBPs or not), and one had been delivered!

There's a chance that mine will make it into the afternoon delivery run!

UK Education Store, Stock 17" Ordered 27th Oct. But I origionally orderd on 24th, but made an error in my order, so had to cancel and wait for the money to be refunded, then order again.

ETA: 25th - Dam weekend.

BTW: How do you get propper track, Apples just says: "In final transit to customer" or something.

I think our SLC shipments are going to sit in Indiana all day and then go to Memphis to catch tomorrow's SLC flight. I don't see any other way for it to get here that makes sense. Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Maybe not. There isn't one scheduled. Hrm. Well, I give up. If it isn't here by tomorrow afternoon it'll just have to wait until Sunday evening!

I've got that message as well. As best as I can tell the page will be updated later (the definition of "later" remains to be seen) with tracking information that you can use. I've tried to preempt this with my order by plugging the Shipping Order Reference number into TNT's website since they delivered my PowerBook many years ago but it's either not the Shipper's Reference that they have been given or they're not the ones delivering it. I also tried the same on DHL's website but it's a revolting mess that made me want to scratch my eyes out. I doubt that FedEx is being used for Europe but even trying their site resulted in not success so I guess I'll just have to wait.

I just got off the phone with FedEx and the CSR recommended I call back tomorrow to see if it will be delivered early. Right now, my estimated delivery time is 10:30 AM ET on Friday.

Hmm, it looks like my macbook didn't get on the flight to Oakland. Probably waiting for the 5pm flight to San Jose. Alas.

Its probably for the best, travelling with two laptops would be interesting at best. I'll have to look on lustily at all the 17" unboxing pics over the weekend (if i get net access at all!) and settle for getting mine Sunday night when i get home.

I ordered, and it was supposed to be shipping now....but then changed my mind about the configuration. The change delayed my build by over a week, and I'm now expecting shipping on 24th. Enjoy!
