You're saying that when I made this statement it wasn't true?
"Heck, it's 2021 and they STILL don't even have a functional dialer that makes it easy to call contacts. You have to add an app just to manage spam and scam calls. ...and that's just the dialer."
More fake news ??? go do your research mate.

I’ll let you do the research, not going to keep going back and forward with you lol, go disable 100 apps and settings so your Samsung can run properly and not overheat. ?

Can you get a ad blocker for the ads on the system apps lol.

lol The bottom line is you know what I'm saying is 100% accurate. That sorry excuse for what Apple calls a dialer, is severely outdated, was outdated a decade ago, and was outdated even before that. That's just the dialer... I haven't even gotten into some of the other areas where it clearly comes up short.

Side Note:
Ads in system apps? lmao like what system apps? Let's hear it..

Make sure you bring your watch, so you can unlock your phone with your mask on. ?
Make sure you place your finger properly on that crappy fingerprint reader when unlocking your phone, or you could use Face ID, oh wait Samsung ain’t smart enough to make Face ID, knowing them their chipset probably couldn’t even handle Face ID ?

Exynos is back ?? 2100 is already a throttling overheating mess ?‍♂️? can’t believe they held a event for it, so embarrassing. ?‍♂️

Can't unlock my phone with a photo...but....let's not distract from you trying to change the subject of that dialer that doesn't even stack up to 2008 functionality. How do you explain that? Let me guess, you don't need to be able to pull up contacts from the keypad right? I'm sure you can explain.

More than happy with my dialer, as long as it’s not a Samsung gimmick, bloat, overheating, turd of a phone,

Don’t think iPhone users are worried about their dialer, they know the best phone on the planet when they see it.

Strong iPhone sales pushed the company's total quarterly revenue to a record US$111.4 billion ($145.89 billion) — well above the US$103.3 billion ($135.28 billion) Wall Street analysts had predicted.

Enjoy your gimmick phone, I’m out.

Sales numbers? You can't pull up your mother's contact from the dialer and call her, and your answer is sales numbers? It's the best phone with an incapable dialer...heck you can't even press the power button while in the dialer if you're on a call, lest you hang up on the person. The best and it doesn't even know when to unlock itself? The best when you have to make sure you wear a watch just so you don't have to scan your face or put in your pin? The best when apps constantly refresh because of the limited RAM? The best at not being able to really multitask? The best at having outdated display hardware? The best at an absolutely horrific sharing system? lol, you sure we're talking about the same phone here?

As die hard stock Android nerd, I have to say I am really liking this iPhone 12 Pro Max. If any issues, it's more iOS that I'm not a big fan of, but I am warming up to it. Still prefer vanilla Android for sure though

Hardware wise, this 12 Pro Max is a beast, and that's my fav thing, battery life is ridiculous, like nothing I've had before, I seriously do not need to charge this phone every single night, only every other night. After one full workday and evening playing on the phone, going to bed the phone is still at like 50% to 60%. The next morning I still have near 50% battery to start the day. I love the Pixel XL phones, but not one of them could ever give me that type of battery life.

The display is gorgeous and beautiful, the deep blacks look amazing. With a black wallpaper and black app settings, you can't even see the notch. Plus it gets plenty bright outdoors, not dim whatsoever.

And with Reduced Motion enabled, and the other setting Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions, the phone feels very snappy and quick between apps.

The haptics and vibration are really cool too, wish Android did it this way.

So this phone does tick the important boxes I need and want in a smartphone. Battery life #1. Great display #2. Smooth OS #3.

My dream phone would be this exact phone, running Oxygen OS Android 11. Here's hoping Google makes a killer high end flagship Pixel 6 XL this year.

Are they all the apps you are using on your phone?

I only have one home screen, and to the right I have the App drawer thing. Yes those are my most used everyday apps, with a few others I use here and there, that are in the right panel.

I like a smartphone with the most minimal of apps, almost nothing on the phone that will run the background. I only want the apps I'll use, and nothing else on the phone. So many Android phones come with tons of different apps, that I would never use, and some of those phones you can't even delete them permanently.

That's why back in the day I loved stock Android so much, I always rooted and ROM'd my phone, and would install the minimal basic GAPPS, so the phone would boot up with maybe 6 apps installed, just enough to run the phone. And then from there I'll download and install the few specific apps I want, and no bloat.

Yes, I have just two home screens as well that contain all the apps I use or would use on my phone. Absolutely minimum number that I need for my use. I could spend time and reduce that to just one screen like you have, relegating the other apps to the App Library instead. Makes more sense and would also serve to trigger a more focussed use.

I built ROMs too, nearly 18 years ago. Had those HTC PDAs where I would strip the ROM to the bare what I would need on my device and that's it. Never did that with Android ROMs since I chose to get myself an Android One device with stock Android that worked fine for me. Android was my secondary device anyway, so never felt the need to tinker much. :)

Welcome to the iSide. This is a solid, enjoyable platform if you are not the tinkering type and just want something that works almost always (bugs always exist and surface for anyone and everyone depending on specific use cases).

I would be open to Jailbreaking this phone, I am on 14.3 and not updating for now, to see if a JB will come out.

What would be the reason for jailbreaking?

Few minor tweaks;

- FaceID unlocking straight to homescreen, like the Pixel 4 XL does
- Full customization and total theming without using ShortCuts
- Default app settings for everything
- Tweak to hide the notch
- And several more

But JB isn't needed like it was on my last iPhone the 7 Plus, now iOS 14.3 does a lot of stuff stock, that required JB tweaks back then. A good 5 or 6 tweaks that were mandatory for me then, are now standard on iOS 14. So a JB isn't a must have now, just more fun.

Here's a good list, I wouldn't do all of these, but some are nice to do;

One of the biggest selling points with IOS is its security, with a jail break you completely negate that. Not to mention losing your warranty in to the bargain.

Thank you for your 2 cent deposit. Your deposit will post tomorrow morning. It didn't add much of anything of value, but we appreciate your deposit nonetheless.

PS
Just because I say I don't care for something doesn't inherently mean it "adds nothing of value". Just because I'm pointing out the iPhone's glaring incapabilities, doesn't mean it isn't a "healthy discussion". Everyone doesn't have to fawn over the phone for their dialogue to be legitimate. But the good news is, you don't have to reply to me. :)
Why are you so upset and angry?
