i'm holding out for the new ipad revision, in the market for a 12.9 when they drop unless apple massively screws something up. i'm expecting it before the end of the year.
I think the 11" is also susceptible to bending. I to am waiting for the refresh.Honestly, I would have bought iPad pro 2018 like two months ago with student discount, but one thing really scares me and thats the bending issue. I might wait till new generation come. I hope it will be like in one month. If its not coming out, I prefer buying 2018 11 inch version instead of bigger one, just because the bend issue.
Does this kill a potential March uodate next year? Are we looking at Next October for new iPads with the 3D camera system?MacRumors got to play with the new iPad Pro dummy model too.

Hands-On With a Next-Generation iPad Pro Dummy
Multiple rumors have suggested Apple is working on an updated iPad Pro that could launch at some point this fall, and some of those rumors have said...www.macrumors.com

BTW, this is what I am predicting now:
Base 6 GB RAM: 90% chance
Upgraded SoC: 90% chance
New camera: 90% chance
Triple lens camera: 75% chance
Base 128 GB storage: 60% chance
USB4: 10% chance
Backlit keyboard: 10% chance
The rumours still remain either 2019 Q4 (as in this month) or 2020 Q1.Does this kill a potential March uodate next year? Are we looking at Next October for new iPads with the 3D camera system?
Unfortunately, there is really no way of knowing at this point. Safe to assume you can predict when events will take place but predictions on what’s introduced, upgraded or refreshed is anyone’s guess. Imo, mid October is likely and the “rumours” point to a potential refresh for the pro so not long to wait if that’s the caseDo you guys feel there is a chance of the event happening in Nov or Dec if there is no event in October? I plan on getting the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 at the end of October if there is no event. Is this advisable?
If we get a new iPad this month then that could mean no new iPad in March. As we expect the 3D camera with the time of flight sensor next year it could be there is another iPad in October 2020. However could Apple do a release this month and another release in March? The rumours still remain either 2019 Q4 (as in this month) or 2020 Q1.

He says that if the ipad pro gets updated in October 2019 there are zero chances for march 2020 update againVery unlikely.
Basically what you're seeing are rumours that disagree with each other, with more reliable rumours saying late 2019 to early 2020.
I guess you mean 2nd gen 2017 model.Have a 1st gen 10.5 Pro that still works just fine. Would like the bigger screen of the 12.9", but am going to hold off until the next major refresh. Looks like that's not this year, but possibly next.
It's technically from the 2nd generation of iPad Pros, but it is considered "10.5-in. iPad Pro (1st generation)" by Apple.I guess you mean 2nd gen 2017 model.
Nah, they just call it "iPad Pro (10.5-inch)".It's technically from the 2nd generation of iPad Pros, but it is considered "10.5-in. iPad Pro (1st generation)" by Apple.

Next week, toward the end of the week.If it is in october, when would media get the invites?
And we’re so close to anything that could be (could have been?) announced in October, haha.BTW, Ming-Chi Kuo says early 2020.

I guess that goes along with his late 2019/early 2020 manufacturing prediction from before.
