Nope, not at all. Does exactly what I expected and needed.

(I went with it instead of buying a new smartphone what I would need from a phone with data the ipad just does better)

Yes. I regret that the second iPad that I bought (to keep my kids from stealing my 3G 32gb iPad) doesn't have 3G. It is just the wifi 64gb model.

I use mine anytime I'm at home and on the Internet which is like all the frickin time.

Only use my iphone when I'm out and about

I did for a little while this summer. I just wasn't using it like I had been. But recently, with much more down-time, I find myself using it more and more. It's great for trips, I prefer it when reading, the browser is fantastic, and it's great for school work as well. Plus, now that I recently started using MobileMe, the whole experience is even better.

That being said, this device NEEDS iOS4. I hate not having multi-tasking, now that I'm so used to it on my iPhone. I'm hoping it will be released at the September event!

I must admit that I have a tiny bit of remorse. I purchased my iPad just before the iPhone 4 launch and used it pretty extensively. After I got the iPhone 4, I only use my iPad if I happen to to be away from my PC and need to look up something on the internet (and don't feel like having to squint and manipulate the text size on the iPhone). I tend to agree with the article; if the iPhone 4 had been released first then I probably would have skipped the iPad, at least until the 2nd or 3rd gen iPads come out and have some additional/improved features. I also agree with the author that there is not enough development for native iPad apps, which is another reason I use my iPhone more than the iPad because the iPhone has a better app selection. There has been a time or two when I have considered selling my iPad and saving the money towards a 2nd/3rd gen iPad or the next iPhone. But for the time being, I am happy with both and will just wait to see what comes out next.

I do experience spells of remorse. However, I just realize the many functions my iPad serves.

Essentially:
1. Kindle
2. PSP/Nintendo DS
3. Evernote
4. Instapaper

These things outweigh $400 I'd get on eBay.

I do NOT remotely understand the people that whine about Retina.

Mixed bag!

It's a mixed bag.

Pluses.....
iAnnotate makes the iPad a great editing tool bar none, especially on such a small device

Great web viewer

Great email tool.

Fantastic YouTube experience

Wonderful speciality apps.

Beautiful screen and workable keyboard

THE BAD

Poor web viewer...no Flash...boo!

ITunes sucks

IWorks app lame

No case included

Only remorse I have is that I shouldn't have bought the 3G 64GB version.
After getting mine since launch I realize that I don't need that much memory and that I don't need the 3G at all.
The wifi 16GB would have been fine for my uses.

I did at first - I felt bad for spending so much money. But now, I love it and don't know how I ever did without it - I use it to read, watch movies, surf the web, etc. I really don't need anything else but it, which is why I've decided to sell my nook 3g. I thought it would be hard on my eyes for reading, but it's not. I've barely picked up my nook since I got it a few weeks ago.

P.S. DKLassen your going to have to buy your wife one!! Thankfully, my husband doesn't care about it and my kids have left it alone (they do play with my iphone a lot though). :)

Remorse? Sometimes I want to punch myself in the face, that's how much I love this freekin thing.

One could go 'round and 'round and 'round in circles with this question......but for most of us the answer comes back as "buyer's remorse? No way!"

I love my iPads and use them every day. Je regrette rien. I have absolutely no buyer's remorse.......

I still use my iPad a lot. No buyers remorse.

I use it all those places where I wanted to have something but felt it was inconvenient to pull out, boot up and use a notebook. In the kitchen while cooking, on the couch in front of the TV, in bed reading books, light web browsing/checking email, while traveling. For me the convenience of instant on, lighter weight, smaller size and the ability to do 80% of what I do on my notebook keeps me using the iPad and very happy with it.

I should note that I also have the iPhone 4. I find I use iPad and iPhone 4 in much different ways and that they compliment rather than compete with each other. Anything that requires web browsing or reading, even email, I do on my iPad unless I don't have it around then I use my iPhone 4. To me my iPhone 4 is a more portable iPad (iPad mini) that also provides a phone and texting capabilities...

Just got mine a few days ago.
Nope, none. The price tag was alittle hard to swallow. 6 bills for a 32 wifi, then case, plus another case :), and screen protection. Well up over 7 now.
The $$$s already spent so it's all good.
I do agree tho. It doesn't even come close to touching the Iphone 4.
The jailbroken Ip4 is probably the best electronic device I've ever owned. Period, things amazing.

No remorse, 4 days and counting. All my magazine subscriptions (except PC Gamer -- that lot needs to get with the program!) in Zinio are much easier to ready. Kindle and ibooks are even more enjoyable. (I read a lot) Much easier to read than the iphone, however I do miss the crisp detail of the iphone 4's screen. Other than that (and the lack of data connectivity) this ipad 64 is awesome.

Cheers,

PS, it could be just a tad lighter...

Only remorse I have is that didn't get 3. One for me, one for the wife, and one to take to work and give to people when they ask to check out my iPad.

You made a typo, I believe you wanted to say, "Great web viewer... No flash... Yea!!!!!!!"

Yes iTunes on the iPad sucks, but I don't use mine as a replacement for my iPod Nano. Still, why can't the iPad manage my podcast subscriptions?

Come on, numbers is great... If you rewrite all your Excel spreadsheets on the iPad. (I still breakout the laptop for that... $9.95 down the drain.)

I find the 32 gig wifi the sweet spot, even though I still have over 20 gigs free.

Why two cases and a screen protector? I find screen protectors to be way overpriced garbage. It's screen is hard glass. As long as you don't let toddlers with sandy feet walk on them, you should be all right. I got the Fossil leather case for $40.

Sometimes I feel a little ripped off when I find that I'm still using less than 16 gigs of my 32 gig iPad including a lot of music I don't even listen to. If I had it to do over again, I might have gotten the 16 instead of the 32.

The screen protector is for my 4 & 6 year old girls, Also their mother who just asked last night " Its weird, it knows when I touch it but it won't move when I try to use my nails" .

The cases. Well, just cause I'm retarded like that. The only reason I bought the Ipad is cause I ran out of things I wanted to do to to the new phone and I got bored. ( No, No life lol ;)).
I bought the Apple case and while it feels and functions 'alright'. It gets absolutely filthy. Fast! (I' m constantly wiping it down) Plus I just wanted something a little nicer.
Just ordered the yahoo v3. Which I will absolutely have some buyers remorse about because I kinda want the slim???? Haha

Yeah, the the 32 wifi is the best bet if you have tethering set up. It gives ya enough space to store a decent amount of entertainment so you won't have to worry about streaming and tethering works perfect for browsing, etc when there is no wifi available.
Personally, I kinda wanted the 64g but just couldn't bring myself to do it ( settling for the 32 was my latest attempt at retaining what little common sense I have left ha) but all & all I think It was a good purchase.
I think I may have felt some if I had bought the 3G tho. For sure

I was incredibly nervous after buying the iPad that I would have remorse. I researched it and really thought about it before buying it and then wait two days to open it even after I bought it because I was so nervous.

That's one of the funniest things I've read in a while. What do you do when you buy a new car? Wrap it in Saran Wrap and leave it in the garage for a month before you drive it? How about new house? Do you live with your in-laws for a year before you dare set foot in it? :p

No kidding. Hey buddy, be sure not to buy new shoes on a rainy day. They might get soiled and that would be a shame.

I take it the guy is probably a kid who mowed a few lawns to be able to afford an iPad. So I can see why he's nervous.
