iPhone battery life is not very good by default, but once you disable the blur and motion effects introduced in IOS 7 it's great.

I pity usa consumers they have no choice except apple and Samsung
We have almost the same choices as anyone not in the US. I never bothered to keep on on what other choices there are besides Samsung and Apple so those are the only two phone manufacturers I have bought from. I just don't care or want to devote all that much time to finding out what other phones are out there.

I am skipping whatever iPhone Apple comes out with this year because I don't think whatever Apple comes out with will be much improved over my 6S+ and 6S.

With that in mind, I bought my phone for this year and that is a S8+. Very happy with it and I am still using two S7 Edge phones on my other two lines.

I’m looking to change. Im tired of iOS and just want a change. Not to sure between the Pixel XL or the LG G6. Both seem like awesome phones. I’ll most likely change over tomorrow.

I mean, the battery is not bad, but it should be a bit better.

Are you making use of wireless charging? If you can, it's like topping off your battery every time you set it down.

Google? HTC? Blackberry? LG? Moto? etc.

Choices are a great thing, and there are even more.

Of those you listed, I'm most excited about Google and LG. They've been making real strides.

I don't agree with a lot of the posts regarding iOS/iPhones in this thread but on this point I couldn't be in stronger agreement. I have both an S8 Plus and a iPhone 7 Plus. Apple should straight up be embarrassed at the difference in charging speeds. The only reason the iPhone isn't a complete nightmare to charge is you can at least use an iPad charge to speed up the process. However, if stuck with the original charger? It's like tech from 7 years ago...probably because it is.

For me, as just about every OEM makes strides in charging speed this is slowly becoming a make or break with Apple. Having to manage my phone's battery life in 2017 because it takes a long time to charge it hampers my usage, and that just ain't gonna fly.

So while everyone is expecting wireless charging for iPhone 8 or whatever its called, what I'm really interested in is FAST CHARGING from Apple.

Yes, that, too. It's one of many things iPhone users will learn to appreciate later this year.

I never worry about battery life on my S8.

Even though I like wireless charging and the ease of use it provides, fast charging is even better. With Dash charging on my OnePlus 5 I don't really have to care about my battery as even just 15 minutes of charging gives the phone a considerable boost.

Just curious, do you guys typically fast charge while driving in your car? My iPhone 7 Plus usually gets down to 40% or 30% by the end of the day (5:00 PM) on a single charge. I've thought about charging the phone in my car but without the fast charging, it takes forever.

Occasionally yes, I have both a regular and a Dash car charger in my car. I'd keep the Dash one plugged in all the time if it had multiple ports. Now I'll occasionally switch to the regular two-port charger so that my wife can charge her iPhone too.

Yup. I've said this a few times on here: wireless charging is neat but not really that big of a deal. Fast charging is where it's at (until they get near field charging workable).

Yes. You can buy fast chargers for the cars. I have this one for my S8:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B2BMIMS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

On the topic of driving, might I also recommend this? It's a magnetic vent mount. I use my S8 naked, and it literally just magnetizes on. It works like magic. Easy on, easy off. If you have a case or a non-wireless charging phone, there's a magnetic sticker you can use, too.

Just sharing. :)

Droid Life even wrote an article about it:

The Plus models will charge faster from 2 amp chargers (i.e. the 12 watt, 2 amp iPad charger vs. the 5w 1amp iPhone charger) so buy a car charging adapter capable of 2 amp output and your iPhone will charge noticeably faster. I have them in both our cars and my iPhone tops up nicely while I'm driving.

I'm sure every phone will have wireless charging capabilities soon but for me it's not something I'm dying to get. It's just a different method of charging your phone and right now plugging mine in once a day before bed is no hassle. I plug my iPhone and AW in each night and as long as they are charged by morning I don't care.
