So add another bagel to the breakfast order. My point is that for something used so often and so important in our lives, a few dollars a week is insignificant. Probably why the X is the best selling iPhone today. The price, while comparatively high, is justifiable.
It has nothing to do with what I can and cannot afford. I've already explained several times that by trading in the X I can get a new and cheaper iPhone with AC this fall.
I also think this logic of 'well it comes down to a bagel a week' or whatever is totally misguided. I can only speak for myself, but I think $1000 or more for a phone is simply
ridiculous. If you love the X, sure, you can justify the price. But me, personally, I don't think it's nearly worth that much. With the exception of switching apps, I would have been just as happy with an iPhone 8, and in some ways happier, and it would have saved me $300. My plan going forward is to buy a new iPhone at roughly $600 total and keep it for 3 years. I don't need to spend any more than that to be happy with my smartphone choice.
