I guess that’s why you’re not at Apple?I could never work for Apple because I'd never be able to deal with customers that are so picky that they look for dust specs with a magnifying glass.

The hairs would annoy me but it's your call. You could always keep it and then if you break the screen or something use the dust under the camera to try and get a replacement lolSo I just got my iPhone X today. Screen is great. No dead pixels or anything but unfortunately I do have several lives up dust under both camera lenses, but even worse each lense has what appears to be a hair dead center. I have taken several pictures and do not notice any issues, including portrait photos to make sure the zoom is inhibited.
Do you guys think it is worth exchanging because otherwise the phone appears perfect. Such a hard decision...
This is my lens (lower lens right side)
Not sure if it effects the camera yet. Also not sure if I should return it
If a speck of dust bugs you on a $2000 phone, don’t ever look at the dial of a $10,000+ Rolex through a loupe, all sorts of imperfections.I am the total opposite and I think we deserve better after spending $2000 on it including AppleCare+.
I respect your decisions but man, would you accept a brand new car with a dent even if it doesn’t affect it’s driving?
Also, the size of the product in question is no excuse. When it’s advertised to you in clean, prestine close-up shots, the condition of what’s being advertised should reflect the actual product.
OK, thanks for the advice. If a speck of dust bugs you on a $2000 phone, don’t ever look at the dial of a $10,000+ Rolex through a loupe, all sorts of imperfections.
I’m just saying things that cost a crapload more than your phone have issues too if you look for them. Does the speck of dust affect the quality of your photos? Doubt it.. I’m not questioning your reasoning , I’m just pointing out that if one expects perfection in mass produced products regardless of cost, your fighting a uphill battleOK, thanks for the advice.
Sorry, but no need to explain yourself. I didn't mean anything else on my response...my response was as it was: thanking you for your warning on a Rolex.I’m just saying things that cost a crapload more than your phone have issues too if you look for them. No one really knows. But I experienced dust appearing shortly after checking perfect lens assemblies.I too have one speck, is there a chance for this speck to move closer to the lense also is there a chance for newer specks to enter the camera?

I passed by the Apple store today and decided to ask about it. He said that they would exchange it no problem (but they didn’t have any in store to replace with) so he made a note on my account and pretty much told me that I can go in whenever during the next two years and they’ll replace it no problem
That would annoy me too. The front cameras on the ones I had had no dust. This is kind of rare.Would you suggest me to replace it? (Played with the ISO, so you can see the dust/hair/whatever better)
That’s annoys me a lot
