Sounds like they a burying their heads in the sand on this.

Unless they are going to push a carrier update that fixes it OR the released iOS9 is a different build to GM.

My money is on head burying.
Has anyone dared testing it recently today to see if the 'Add Wifi calling for other devices' works yet? I've left my test devices at work and don't want to mess up my main iPhone!

I don't see how it won't affect the 6s, but EE have a far bigger issue to deal with tomorrow when people update to ios9.

I'm not on a SIM-only plan, and I've repeatedly had this issue, so no it's nothing to do with SIM-only as far as I can tell.

Yep. The issue here is that people without an understanding will immediately think their device is at fault and start kicking off with Apple.

EE need to remove their finger and update their settings. I forwarded the investigation above to our account manager within EE and then reported it to Tech support when I had WiFi calling removed from my account AND logged a bug through Feedback....

On my already-bugged phone, it still does nothing. I can't imagine a non-bugged device would fare any better. Still hoping that there's a carrier settings update coming at the same time as the update.

Is that definitely new, and does it fix the problem? I'm not seeing an update, and I already have 21.5. Running iOS 9.1; maybe that's why I have a higher version?

The 9.0 GM was running 21.0 and I just went to General > about and it prompted me to update my carrier settings, so it's definitely new.

I can't imagine they will update the beta carrier settings, you'd have to wait for beta 2 I'm guessing.

Running 9.1 and 21.5 here too. Still seeing terrible battery life. Less heat though. It's funny, I'm only seeing heat on apps that are quite mobile data demanding (Facebook/News/Tweetbot)

Yeah, you're right, I just didn't know until now that 9.1's carrier settings are a version different from the GM's. I had hoped they were both at the same version, and would both get pushed to the same version. Apparently not, so, yeah that's at least another week. I hope we're not going to be waiting until November.

I'm on 8.4.1 at the moment and carrier version 20.0. No updated carrier settings for me. Will I only get them when I upgrade to iOS 9 ?

iTunes told me there was a carrier update and I clicked 'okay'. General > About is showing 21.5, is that new?

Well, the test is to open up Instruments, but as far as the version number goes I'm fairly sure iOS 9.1 has been at 21.5 the whole time. It's what I'm running, and I never had a carrier update.

That said, if you got a carrier update through iTunes, I'd be very interested to see what (if any) .ipcc files you have in ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Carrier Support/ (if you have that folder).

No one able to confirm whether the bug has been fixed? Really want to try turning on the option again but scared to do so!

The only folder I have in 'iTunes' is 'iTunes Plugins'. Maybe it didn't install a carrier update after all.

I can confirm! I have Vidgets installed and before I updated to carrier version 21.1, my CPU was at 75% use (According to vidgets), I installed 21.1 and it instantly went down to 10%! I then updated to the new public build and now my iPhone 6 is incredible! I have been using it for 33 minutes and its just dropped to 99% without low power mode on. Pre updates with low power mode on I would be at ~80%. Do it! Update it! Not sure about turning on the other wifi calls because I've now got trust issues! Lol, should be fine but don't take my word for it!

Great! Thanks. I've turned on wifi calling for other devices (took the risk after doing a full backup), but it doesn't do anything?

Anyone else on EE had any luck?

Since the update to latest build and carrier settings ... So far so good.

Phone is not hot and battery seems ok so far
But have you got 'add wifi calling to other devices' working? Button does nothing for me, which is odd as I thought it didn't appear if it wasn't enabled on the carrier side?

I've got wifi calls enabled and add wifi calling. Just tested and I'm getting calls through to my iPad. Too early to tell about battery life but not seeing any ridiculous heat.
