 just got a update on the TNT tracer:
"20 Nov 2006 16:20 Arnhem Hub Consignment Received At Transit Point" -its in the netherlands
:( :( :( :( :(
I think it wont even get here by tomorrow..... (damn you TNT lame-as* shipping)
Im waiting since 27 days by today...

NK we're both in the same situation. I also notice we ordered the same spec mbp, btw. My TNT tracking says my machine's at Arnhem too, even though on the phone *this morning* they said it would be in the UK and out for delivery today. Someone is not telling the truth, damned TNT. This happened when i ordered my PB too. Here's hoping for tomorrow, d00d.

Well after delay in getting tracking it seems to be moving along nicely.

Only just got the tracking and already it updated to show the flight has already departed (ordered 06/11/06) :) That was yesterday so guess it's already in the Netherlands for transit onto UK?

Hopefully it will get here more quickly than Apple's ETA of 29/11/06.

shipping but where?

I got now the message: In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed, with an estimated Delivery Date of Nov 23, which is Thursday. I guess it is because of the merge in transit stuff:(

No tracking info:mad:

Thursday then:)

Were on the same flight, Hope we have first class leather seats and are safely buckled in.

Anybody experiencing trouble with Apetrack today? It wont work for me today and TNT tracking never did.
I noticed that if i log into my account on the USA apple store it gives me more information than i get logging into the Ireland Apple store, should try it.

Managed to get my UPS tracking number there but its not working yet. UPS must not have it.

Disaster!

Are you phoning 0845 600 1683 ?

Don't select option 4 (track an order), as it just tells you to use the website and hangs up. Use option 5 (all other) and you'll get to talk to someone. Good luck!

My current status (on the apple site) is "In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed" :'(

EDIT: Ack! This is on the apecode page - "on hold; aircraft/truck failure" - FOR GOODNESS SAKE! I'm not surprised it failed - it was in the air for 4 days!!!! :D

No Im phoning 0800 039 1010 - the freephone number! Doing the rest the same, 4 takes me straight to that automated crap - which has obviously changed since I last phoned (all because theyre fed up being asked "wheres my MBP!?") lol

I got exactly the same message about "on hold; aircraft/truck failure". It worried me that the plane had "departed", stayed in the air for 4 days, failed (3 days overdue) and is STILL in Shanghai. Thats quite a f*** up!

Hard to believe that the US got theirs last week, the UK and Ireland are getting theirs this week and we have to wait til next week. Furious doesnt even begin to describe how I feel.

Doesn't sound right, does it? Thing is, when I phoned Apple yesterday, the woman told me "it looks like it's in Daventry, waiting to be sent out" (emphasis mine).

So, was she lying to me, or is the apecode info inaccurate, or what? People here keep mentioning TNT codes, but the only code she could give me was a UPS one (which I'd already got off the US Apple Store), which doesn't work yet.

The lack of info is a bit disappointing and frustrating.

Bit of a joke seems like all merge in transit orders are delayed. And nobody has any information on where the shipment is. I wish i hadnt ordered anything else with it, would have had it yesterday if i didnt.

OK, for those of us on the broken plane, it seems there is SOME movement/change:

21 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 22 nov 06
21 nov 06 30 10 departed direct NLAMS07 22 nov 06
21 nov 06 40 69 accept scanned at EDC NLAMS07 22 nov 06
20 nov 06 86 05 on hold; aircraft/truck failure NLAMS07 22 nov 06

It still seems like they are in China, so Apple WAS lying to me when they said it was in the UK.

I phoned Apple, and 'Stephen' "assured" me that my MBP would be here on Friday. He said that, according to his system, my due date was the 24th ...despite mine saying 25th.

He explained that it was currently in Netherlands and would have to go to Daventry to merge with my sleeve etc. It would then be passed on to UPS-UK, at which point my tracking number would start working.

I asked about the status in transit to customer - shipment delayed and he said thats what happened if a shipment coming from China had to go through another country (ie Netherlands).

I pointed out that another tracker I was using said it was STILL in Shanghai. He told me that I shouldnt trust unofficial trackers ...I didnt really have a come back. Dammit.

Anyway, I see the ape tracker has changed and so has the Apple order status so the saga continues...

Guys TNT's online tracker its full of s*it, call them and you will get a better idea of where it is, evan they you could be feed a load of rubish. i called about my "15 MBP was told it was going to be delivered to day phone to day around 11 told I would get a call back ( they withhold there number so could not call me ) i called them back a few hours later and was told that they checked and it will be delivered tomorow.

It was dispatched on the 16th a day early and is coming on the 22nd a little to long for me tbh.

Just phoned up again today. Some lady called "Agnes" said, and I quote "They run out of parts for that one, I know they have, but I don't know which parts...however, it's been shipped"

Well... take what you want from that.

My "deliver by date" is currently a Sunday (26th) and has been since it got pushed forward, way back when. So I don't know how they are going to deliver on Sunday!

I give up!

So far, all 3 out of 3 apple purchases have had problems.

#1: My 80GB ipod tool a record 23 days to arrive, and when it did, the UPS muddled up the parcels, many phonecalls later, I got it!

#2: The MBP saga continues....

#3: My mum ordered 2 iPOd nano's 2GB 2 days ago. 2 cases and a dock. The ipod's were both engraved, one for my brother, and one for my dad. They arrived today. My bro's is fine, by my dad's has "Elaine Pattern" laser etched on the back. And AFAIK, my dad is not called Elaine Pattern.

well... that's that then!

It cant still be in China - not because of what Apple told me (which could be bullsh*t ...50/50 really)!

I was trying to guess what the acronyms all meant. So far Ive guessed:

EDC = European Distribution Centre
NLAMS = Netherlands A______ M_______ S______ 07 AMS could be dutch words or else it would mean Amsterdam?

Alternatively, they could all mean nothing and Ive just lost my last shread of optimism.

All I have is that is is supposed to be delivered today. All the tracking at tnt says is the same since the 18th, it is still at the airport(?).

tnt not reachable by mobile
automated tnt knows nothing other than the 18th airport status.

person from tnt is looking into it for me...

bummer, I was hoping to get it today. Doesn't look that way now...

My MBP moved...

For me there is more action, too:

21 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 21 nov 06
21 nov 06 30 10 departed direct NLAMS07 21 nov 06
21 nov 06 40 69 accept scanned at EDC NLAMS07 21 nov 06

18 nov 06 32 05 Flight Booked Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai
16 nov 06 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 21 nov 06
15 nov 06 00 04 Picking confirmed, EDI received Apple Shanghai
15 nov 06 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 21 nov 06

Got a reference from Apple for Flextronics (which is Irish Express Cargo, or iec-logistics) in Venray (NL) which tracker says 'pick list printed', with the comment "Delivery 80xxxxxx VRYQ80". I don't know what that part means. The destination is Hilversum, the Netherlands.

That was yesterday. My fingers are crossed for today or tomorrow...

[Edit] Things happen fast, now:
21 nov 06 90 75 truck arrived at final destination Apple Shanghai 21 nov 06

Iec-logistics says 'pallet closed' again (will you stop opening and closing the pallet, please? It takes precious time). The distribution center is approx. 60 km from here.
On the Apple site I got a reference RTMLxxxx with carrier Kuehne & Nagel. The estimated delivery date has also changed to Nov 21 (yesterday! Yeah! Oh wait...), but that's the date to arrive at where it now sits. If I climb in the KPN communications tower here in Hilversum (a 1000 feet high I believe) maybe I can track the truck with binoculars :) )
