For me there is more action, too:

21 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 21 nov 06
21 nov 06 30 10 departed direct NLAMS07 21 nov 06
21 nov 06 40 69 accept scanned at EDC NLAMS07 21 nov 06
18 nov 06 32 55 flight departed Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 21 nov 06
18 nov 06 32 05 Flight Booked Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai
16 nov 06 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 21 nov 06
15 nov 06 00 04 Picking confirmed, EDI received Apple Shanghai
15 nov 06 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 21 nov 06

Got a reference from Apple for Flextronics (which is Irish Express Cargo, or iec-logistics) in Venray (NL) which tracker says 'pick list printed', with the comment "Delivery 80xxxxxx VRYQ80". I don't know what that part means. The destination is Hilversum, the Netherlands.

That was yesterday. My fingers are crossed for today or tomorrow...

Hilversum? I've been there! Good memories from the NLs. Anyway, my apecode status is NEARLY EXACTLY the same so far. Today is the ETA on mine though. Hopefully will see some movement today, and a tracking number for UPS tomorrow.

Anyone got any ideas if there are any significances whether the carrier is UPS or TNT? I've seen other people in the UK with TNT carriers..........? Yet mine says UPS! Are all "merge in transit" orders with UPS?

Yeah I noticed that all merges are UPS. I just think its strange that the only tracking number we have is UPS ...and none of them work (not the macbook or accessories we ordered).

Thought of the day:
I wonder is you have to be a convincing liar to work in an Apple call centre?

Guess we'll have to rely on the slow-updating apetracker.com.............:(
I'm hoping (given that my gf's 15"MBP arrived 2 days after the ETA on Apetracker) for a delivery of Friday. But Apple's site says 26th, Sunday........???????????? Na!

I tell you what... Having waited about 4 months for Apple to even ANNOUNCE the C2D MBP, and then another full month from ordering to receipt (which I'm ASSUMING will be on time to the ETA - I haven't got it yet!), it'll be pretty damn annoying if Apple announce ANY kind of new Pro laptop at the SF expo on Jan 8! ;)

Yup - My powerbook G4 was smashed mid June. Insurance payment came through mid-August and the rumors of C2D had been about since July!!!

Im not usually a patient person when it comes to waiting but I fought it out and sure enough the C2Ds FINALLY arrived. I was sooooo ecstatic that the wait was actually over.

Then it all started AGAIN.

Carpworld, congrats! Was yours a merge in transit? (i.e. did you get anything with it?)

Nah, just the mbp (with the 7200rpm hdd). I work about 3 minutes from the Apple store on Regent Street so i'll pop up there if i want anything else - i should resist though, i have too many extra bits and pieces already. Do need a new neoprene case come to think of it....brb.

It cant still be in China - not because of what Apple told me (which could be bullsh*t ...50/50 really)!

I was trying to guess what the acronyms all meant. So far Ive guessed:

EDC = European Distribution Centre
NLAMS = Netherlands A______ M_______ S______ 07 AMS could be dutch words or else it would mean Amsterdam?

Alternatively, they could all mean nothing and Ive just lost my last shread of optimism.

Any movement on yours today? Nothing has changed for me on apecode for over 24 hours.

Mines still stale too. Anyone else's moved since?

I reached this yesterday......
21 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 22 nov 06

Was hoping for some movement today given that the ETA is the 22nd. But Apecode seems to update slooooowly. My "Flight departed" message came up several days later.

Got a UPS tracking number on the USA apple site, but not on the UK one. The tracking number doesn't work.

This is getting f**king ridiculous. Its been 2 days and no update and my estimated delivery date was yesterday. Nothing has changed on the Apple website either, it still says that the "shipment is on schedule", what a load of s**te it was supposed to be delivered yesterday.

I swear, If i get one thats broken after waiting 40 business days ill drive down to Apple in Cork get a refund and then f**k it as hard as i can at the managers head before departing swiftly.

My status on apple is onchanged since the 18th, so relax...
Apecode hasn't worked for me either. What did work was calling tnt and getting a real person look into it. Try that, good luck

Got it!

This afternoon, while I was in a meeting, my MBP was handed over to me by the nice gals of the reception desk! Shocked looks around the table ("What is so important to interrupt this meeting for?"."A laptop??"."Aaah, a MacBook... prettttyyyy..."), :D

I've had no time but to unpack it fast and have a quick look to see if it was outwardly okay. Nothing untowards to be seen, I'm happy to say. The lid is almost flush with the case, a very narrow gap can be seen, just like my PB G4 has. I can only go home at 17:30, not earlier, plus probably a long rush hour before I can sit down and do the initial startup.

I'll log in this evening for report on screen, rattle and heat.

Any movement on yours today? Nothing has changed for me on apecode for over 24 hours.

My last two statuses on Apecode are:

22 nov 06 90 75 truck arrived at final destination Apple Shanghai 22 nov 06
21 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained NLAMS07 22 nov 06

Dunno what they mean by final destination, maybe Davenport? (where the infamous 'merge' happens)

My current order status on Apple is:

In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule (f**king hopeless!)

and, of course, my UPS code still doesnt work!? Ive never seen a UPS truck about Northern Ireland so they must have to use someone else ...then again I didnt know there was a UPS-UK. Obviously theyre not that popular due to their very very very slow shipping movements!

I was sitting in my Supply Chain Management lecture today talking about the importance of having multiple suppliers ...I just sat wondering if Apple knows the importance! If they didnt before, they do now!

UPS don't handle the the shipping from China they're only the last step in the entire shipment process, to your door. The UPS number you have will not work because you get a new one once UPS actually has your package and it's being delivered.
