Now while my room is clean I will post my set up.

20" imac intel

20" dell

15gig iPod

Orange shuffle

HP printer

Bose speakers hooked up to my iPod in the dock.

Crap logitech speakers hooked up to the iMac

This is my setup currently.

haha.

I unpacked almost 70 17" HP LCD monitors 2 days ago. It was probably most boring thing I have ever done.

The computers are HP Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz's with 80gb hard drives and 1gb RAM I beleive. $850 each according to some paperwork

I am surprised we use HP's, it seems like such an odd brand to use, I would think compaq would be cheaper.

Now I have to reconnect all the existing computers that the janitors unplugged and threw in a pile to wax the floors at one of the intermediate schools in town.

We have a mix of the two (For some reason..) with HP being dominant, but only slightly.

Oh, they're 900 MHZ with 256 MB of RAM and 20 GB HD's. Running XP.

My school is cheap. :D

our school has IBM's (our state schools are contracted to them)
we either get 3ghz p4/160gb/2gbram/with some 6800crap
or
2.4 p4/40gb/1gbram

sucks so bad. im just happy i have my mbp to show off :)

My high school has hundreds of dell budget PCs. It's horrible!

But our T.V studio has a sweet mac setup. Brand new Mac Pro, Intel and G5 iMac, Powermac G5, and a couple of eMac G4s. Also, our distance learning lab has like a dozen iMac G4s.

Too bad the rest of the school won't adopt macs...

My high school has the new 2.0ghz Core Dous and 2.5ghz P4's at this point. Some teachers have laptops of varying specs issued by the school and the administrators have tablet PC's.

The Intermediate Schools (2), the elementary school, and the middle school have 2.8ghz P4's.

As of this year I am pretty sure all the class rooms have mimio boards (smart board alternative) with LCD projectors. In the elementary schools there are 3 or 4 computers per class room. In the middle school and high school each teacher has a computer and there are labs for the students. The high school's lcd projectors have a DVD/VCR and speakers in the ceiling for audible sound.

All this fancy computer equipment and too bad the network is slow as H*** and always seems to be breaking. Tying into the confusion are the new VoIP phones. It takes way to long to log on because there isn't enough bandwith and when you long on all files and settings are copied off the server onto the hard drive of the computer you are using. It's stupid for computer labs where users are frequently chaning. Everytime you log onto a new computer MS office if activated has to be installed first off the server. Its ridiculous.
