I know you did not "pay" for it "yourself" because while it may be your money, you did not earn that money from a job. Someone gave you the money. While it may be nice, I wouldnt say ha i paid for it

i strongly agree, i already posted a big long rant that got much attention about this, so i won't do it again.

Here is my latest setup. The #$%@#@ movers broke my glass desk. They paid for it but I haven't bought a new desk, so currently I have a bunch of random furniture as my workspace.

PowerBook G4 1.5ghz superdrive, Dell 4550 P4 @2.53ghz, 4gb iPod Nano (in a case next to the PB), HP LaserJet 1012, HP Photosmart 7760, JBL Creatures, AT&T POS phone, Apple BT mouse, fisher space pen and that orange thing is a bird made out of napkins and a glass.

In the other pic is my 300gb ext. maxor, Canon LiDE 30, Apple Keyboard, and Sony 128mb USB flash drive.

Picture taken with my stupid Sony DSC-P73 (I do not suggest buying this camera)

Uhh, yeah. I sold my $1,300 PC to her (had no choice, grrr) and she just gave me $500. So shut it.

Wow someone got ripped off... Then again, I wouldn't pay $1,300 for a PC anyway. Heck I wouldn't pay $500! :p

Excuse me but names hurt, mentally and physically. (or so I am told by the school :) )

sticks and stones
will break my bones
but words....
still hurt

(Names Hurt)

HAHAHAHAH, I love it
------

Maybe we can do what the my school told us to do if someone calls a name.

The person who is called a name says "ouch"
The name caller says "oops"

That way the name caller will recognize that he has hurt the person he is talking to.

*drools

I can't wait until this summer, when if all goes well I will have money for a 15 inch PB.

I would love being able to walk around the house and being online. We already have the Wi-Fi, I just don't have a PB :)

Why are we picking on people that have insane set ups they did not buy? I did not buy my Powerbook, so does that make me a spoiled *itch?

What would you do if your parents said, "get any computer you want but it must be a laptop and last you though high school. We will NOT buy you another computer" The time this question was asked was December 2002.

Yes I love my powerbook. WiFi is awesome, I can go anywhere in my house or outside on the deck or by the pool and use the internet, it is just glorious.

So you made over 3 grand mowing lawns in 2 months?

You either worked at least 60 hours a week or are getting grossly overpaid.

What the hell is wrong with you guys?

Come on, give this guy a break... he said he earned his money - calling him a liar and having a pop at him for what he has got is out of order. the lad is 13 years old, get off his back - what does it matter to you all? (this isnt all aimed at the quoted poster)

Well done mate, nice set-up. I know i made plenty of money when i was your age - although i spend my cash on mountain bikes and sweets :)

Here's my setup in my corner of the world, as of 13th december 2005.

im 18 at university.

i love it to bits! will post a setup of my newly renovated room once i land back at home in a few days time.

Yes, now, I've been waiting for a reason to post in this thread for some time, at the moment I have an iMac 700Mhz G3 SE, a TiBook 667Mhz, and in the next week I am buying a Dual Core 2.3 Ghz Power Mac, and I have earned all of these myself (through leaf sweeping, computer help, and selling computers), except for the TiBook, which was a present (2 years ago) for getting into my new school.

Pictures soon, my camera on holiday with my sister.

There is nothing wrong with having a nice computer setup or even parents that will pay for it. What is a little disturbing is that there is a thread specifically directed at sub 18 year olds asking to post and brag about how much they have knowing very well that at that age a full time job is out of the question.
