I still have no problems. It feels like the iPhone 12 Pro, which I tolerated well. It doesn't really matter how fast the bars are if some kind of DC dimming is implemented again.

I could be wrong, but if DC dimming is in use, there should be no on/off flickering (bars) at all, correct?

If you could post a video mate at minimum brightness to max in slow mo

Unfortunately I don't have a camera to film it. My iPhone 12 Pro has already been reset. The iPhone 12 Pro also had some form of DC dimming implemented and there were moving bars.

Oh yes!!!! PWM reviews! can’t wait to read and see if this line is better.

(FYI, I got an 11pro, and no problems with eye strain no more than with 13mini. How is the 14 pro?)

Nice one, from the looks of it seems to be flicker free - albeit greatly improved from the 13 - this might be what we have been waiting for!
Praying it's OK as it's a lovely phone. A big step up from my 11. Those lines in slo mo seem to appear up to about 20% brightness then disappear after that.

I've been using the iPhone 14 Pro since this afternoon and it seems perfect. I couldn't use the iPhone 13 Pro like that, which is why I stayed with the iPhone 12 Pro. Apple must have changed something about the iPhone 13 Pro, and I'm happy about that. I'm so happy that I can keep the iPhone 14 Pro.

Whilst these reports are encouraging, I still can't pull the trigger until lord Zollo has confirmed his controlled PWM tests and give me the green light to enjoy my life without the fear of having an aneurysm at the dinner table scrolling macrumors pwm thread

Agree. I'm not losing my 11 yet.

When did the issues with 13 pro kicked in ? In first hour?

Is this what you want? I’ve had it a couple of hours and it feels ok currently. Not getting my hopes up too much though as the X took a couple of days to cause the migraines.

Any chance you could take the exact same video except in a room that doesn't have lightbulbs that use PWM? (Or turn the lights off.) Thank you!

It likely is not flicker-free at higher brightnesses, but the frequency may be higher than before so the slow-mo video isn't picking it up. Or the shutter speed is just right so it can't record the PWM bars correctly. But fingers crossed regardless!
