I still have no problems. It feels like the iPhone 12 Pro, which I tolerated well. It doesn't really matter how fast the bars are if some kind of DC dimming is implemented again.
Do you turn brightness up to near 100% and then use reduce white point to make it the most tolerable, or do you find that even when lowering brightness, you have no problems?

First impression = wish I'd got the Pro Max. The camera module is so large I've got nowhere to place my index finger! 🤦‍♂️

The warmer display is the first adjustment phase. I've got a warm reddish, tilting to green oled. Already missing cool blue lcd.

(I'll try to stop moaning, if I can keep this phone I will be getting an iPad Pro 12.9 - so a smaller phone will have its advantages).

Great, even more doubt - didn't think of that jimmy, the camera modules are huge, have you got it in a case?

No case, I prefer naked to keep weight and thickness down.

It's a change, I'll adjust.

I’ve only been using it a few minutes now but I’ve got a bit of a headache. Hopefully just coincidence because I am prone to headaches anyway. I feel a bit “swimmy” but I’m also excited and it’s hard for me to not pay way too much attention trying to figure out if it’s messing with my head… results inconclusive so far…

My eyes do feel strained… hmmm… I can’t keep using this crappy old 11 though…

Hopefully I’m just overanalyzing the situation right now.

I’m gonna restore from my iCloud backup so I can play with it more consistently.

I had a bit of a sweeping brain tingle at first and my right eye is a little strained + my contact lens are feeling dry (got to blink more). As always, Friday is not a great day for iphone release as it's been along and tiring work week which doesn't help. So far not bad, best result for a Pro iphone for me.

Some positivity:
Sweeping gestures are already like second nature.
Speakers are awesome.
Reachability is a God send.
120hz looks better than real life.
Black metal band is so much better than silver. 👍

Just got it. My plan is to not transfer my Sim and data from my iPhone 11 because I'm very skeptical.

Instead I'm just setting up as a new phone. Haven't played much with it because there's a stupid update to run first.

If after a day or so I have no problems then I'll erase the phone and transfer over my Sim and data from my 11.

Will report back!

That’s what I’m doing but I was wondering… can I just activate the esim on the 14PM and if it doesn’t work transfer the esim back to my 11?

Not too bad. I could pick up on the PWM during setup and it bothered me a bit in the beginning. Thus far it’s been at least as usable as iPhone 13 Mini, on a larger display.

In retrospect this is a significant improvement over iPhone 12 Pro Max where I got constant throbbing just from staring at the keyboard—which I just got the slightest hint of before posting this. Still not perfect, but this generation shows some promise.

I’m fairly nonchalant at this point where I could give this iPhone up if it’s causing headaches.
