It means the wave modulates from 240hz to next to 0. It’s as deep as it possibly can be. And it happens to be a square wave. I saw an image of it some days ago and I can’t find it now.
Oh I see... I have a lot to learn on that- on the surface it sounds like this would be a nightmare for those that are sensitive- but maybe not?

Fellow PWM sufferer here. Got terrible headaches and couldn't see straight after one weekend with the iPhone X and never looked back after I got my LCD iPhone 11.

Well, my time has finally come and I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro/Max today. Probably going to have to wait a few weeks for it to get delivered from my provider. Once I get, I'll check back into this thread and let everyone know my experience.

iPhone 15 should be in customer’s hands internationally in a few short hours. Holding on with bated breath since I’m already of the mindset that I want to try to get one of these tomorrow…

Edit: we should be getting some PWM reports shortly, since they’ve already delivered in New Zealand and Australia.

Can the difference in bars be attributed to the angle of the camera or are we really looking at what appears to be a noticeable difference in the two?
it seems like it. It seems like the stripes are moving faster on the regular model. Is that better? or worse? Do we know how high the pwm is on these displays

I am into the store to receive 15 and took a video of two iPhone 13s side by side. Notice how the lines on the right one are moving slower….

Interesting- so for those who know more about this stuff, what are we looking at here? Are the thinner bars that are moving a bit faster a good thing, or a bad thing in comparison to the other one?

I don’t believe capturing a slow mode video is any kind of indication. For example right now on my 15 non pro lines on white background are not moving at all. They only become thicker when i reduce brightness.

Also to mention i don’t know if Apple has changed anything on this years oleds on non pros but for some reason text feels at least for me for the first time more clear than my 11s LCDs. Also the yellow piss effect of the OLEDs is a lot less….. maybe i got a more blue OLED this time around. The display is f awesome. So vivid and clear. And a lot brighter.

I've given up on the idea of Apple coming out with a phone that I can use. I'm to the point now of maybe buying an iphone 13 and getting an LCD screen installed. It will ruin the trade in value but it seems like that is my only option anymore.
I was thinking of doing this aswell problem
Is which lcd do
You use

On the telegram pwm channel they shared the test results for iPhone 15. It’s as bad as ever, everyone that pre-order and could not use other OLED iPhones will return the it :)

Only iPhone X was tolerable. Disaster started with XS….. didnt know anything back then and kept it for one year.

Then you are in the exact same position as me, had the X for 3 years with no issue. Upgraded to 12pro and it started. Every phone since then bad too, other than the 11 LCD I have now.

Lets hope the 15's are closer to the X setup (Whatever that is)

So you had also issues with 12 pro or 12 pro max ?

My iPhone 15 Pro Max is here.
I had no problems with the iPhone 12 Pro, but with that
I had severe problems with iPhone X, 11 Pro/Max, 13 Pro/Max, 14 Pro/Max.
I will test the iPhone 15 Pro Max now and then report back.
The first impression in the first few minutes is much more positive than with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which I sent back.
