Because of the supposedly more battery needs of those LCD replacement screens.Did you choose 14 plus because that was you preference of phone size or because its easier for the screen swap etc?

Not 100 eye comfort as in the past. I loose focus easily if i have huge screen usage. But still usable.Fingers crossed for you. I'll certainly be doing the same if you have success and have a month without phone/eye/head issue.
Are you ok using IOS17 on Iphone 11?
I used to hold out hope for every beta. Realistically it seems like this will only be fixed at the hardware level.Any miracle that iOS 18 beta included some eye comfort settings in accessibility?
I’ve tried a 9th Gen iPad on a few of the iOS 17 versions and none that I tried made it usable. I seem to recall either here or on Reddit or Ledstrain.org that someone mentioned one of the smaller version updates worked at one point but then later versions made it not work again. I’m holding out a very slight hope that maybe something in iOS 18 will make some of the previously “good” devices usable again.Has anyone that had issues with IOS17 on iPhone 11 found the issue went away with the smaller version updates? 17.1 17.2 etc?
I want a new apple watch but out of the box they will be IOS10 which wont work with IOS16.
Does the iPhones also have temporal dithering? There’s a lot of grumbling in the Mac forums about screen flickering caused by GPU dithering in the M SOCs. Eyestrain. They’re using LCD screens not OLED.
On the Mac- there apparently is a program that can disable the GPU dithering which gets rid of eyestrain for the affected users. The colors aren’t quite as smooth- but the trade off is worth it.
We can only hope something like that could be made available for iOS one day. Hell, all it would take is a toggle switch in settings….
This will be unprecedented, as it seems like no one online has done an overview, review, or even comparison of the aftermarket LCD’s.My screen is on the way. I believe by Friday i ll have it installed.
Yeah. I ll upload a video side by side with my iPhone 11.This will be unprecedented, as it seems like no one online has done an overview, review, or even comparison of the aftermarket LCD’s.
The subset of users that would consider this for PWM-related reasons is probably diminutive.
I’m curious if the higher resolution will make up for any discrepancies in color reproduction. Or maybe it will just be exemplary regardless. 🤞Yeah. I ll upload a video side by side with my iPhone 11.
To be honest as i said I don’t care about any color (tint, uniformity, viewing angles distortion) issues if occurred. I only want the same text clarity like my iPhone 11 and obviously to have the same touch responsiveness. And i am curious how the brightness would be outdoors.I’m curious if the higher resolution will make up for any discrepancies in color reproduction. Or maybe it will just be exemplary regardless. 🤞
Here is the comparison video. That’s the best I can do with my wife’s 12 pro. I will upload my impressions when possible:
It looks good! Better than expected based on what I’ve read online. Really the colors look almost identical on camera, and the resolution does look sharper. Here is the comparison video. That’s the best I can do with my wife’s 12 pro. I will upload my impressions when possible:

You are a legend.Everything went well guys. I will upload a video and impressions in 2 hours from now. It’s like using an 8 plus…..a very positive start
Personally I would keep it, but that’s because there could be variance in colors too. There is a chance the issues you’re experiencing may not be due to the display.Hey all. Boy this post will likely get buried with all of the excitement around the lcd screen install lol. That’s incredibly exciting and I’ll be following along.
I would like opinions even through I understand I ultimately have to decide on my own with this. I’ve been here since day 1 of the thread and have been using the 11 for close to 4 years. The 15 PM was by far the most tolerable model (for me) but after about 3.5 weeks during the extended window I returned it. Well, around the second week of March I picked up another, again, because I was hitting a string of concerts and wanted the cameras. To my surprise here we are 3 months later and I have zero symptoms. I’m quite surprised and grateful to be on a newer phone but here’s the dilemma.
It runs hot on the car charger, runs hot outdoors even when not sitting in sunlight. The screen dims much more than my wife’s 13 mini. I’ve done every troubleshoot and diagnostic I can. There’ve been some other glitches too with occasional screen freezing. What do I do? lol. Any lcd phone and I’m heading to the Genius Bar but I might be using a unicorn here. I may have won the screen lottery that some believe in. They could replace my phone and it end up bothering me 😵💫 really struggling with this.
You know what though you have me thinking now. It might be reasonable to take it in and have them run diagnostics. Perhaps it could be a fixable issue that doesn’t involve the screen nor require a replacement?Personally I would keep it, but that’s because there could be variance in colors too. There is a chance the issues you’re experiencing may not be due to the display.
