Dear HelperMonkey,
The feeling is mutual. Please don't hesitate in packing me up. I'd rather make this break as quick as possible.
Thanks and have a nice life (not really).

If you were a long time member then you would know of the following (as displayed when you register):
It would be interesting to see how many open box returns are in the back room. Did you consider trying a replacement before returning? Returns/replacements aside, I'd say you seem a bit impatient. The thing has only been out a week...give Apple a chance to push an update.
Yep, a capuchin. Maybe that's why I can't figure out that crazy router thing. Are you really a monkey?
2) reloading pages when swap pages in safari. What is the point of multi-page?
3) OS does not support file/doc sharing between apps and pc and need special
Farewell my friend. Were it not for the following, I likely would have kept you:
1) Week WiFi compared to every other device I own
2) WiFi dropping out and asking to re-input security credentials.
3) Safari forcing a refresh of websites when there should be no need. Load up your favorite gadget blog, open three articles from the main page on separate pages, and voila, all the pages start refreshing whenever you look at them. Why???!!!!! Ill be really curious to see if this is a hardware limitation of the low memory or is fixable with software.
4) Youtube not working sometimes. Just odd .
5) Not a single game changing or innovative app. I know its only 1.5 weeks in and theres a whole lot more to come, but no interactive magazines? No NYTimes full issue subscriptions? Wheres the magic?
If they can fix 1-3 with either a software or hardware update, Ill buy another one. Number 5 is sure to be resolved sometime soon. As it stands now though, with the above problems and the little buddy occupying an odd and non-essential space between iPhone and laptop, its just not worth having around.
The complete ease with which the manager waived the restocking fee makes me think Im not alone.

Cool. A week of WiFi.![]()
waste of post. and waste of space. many other ppl love ur ipads.
Funny thing is, I don't own an iPad. I'm not defending it ... but I will call funny when I see it and starting a thread about returning your iPad is funny. Just use twitter. 140 characters can never be wrong.Such an unwelcoming crowd. I did some searching and found my old username. Here it is. If the mods want to ban me, it's their call. If they'd like to merge the two accounts, that'd be even better.

I really don't understand the animosity in this thread. Liking your purchase doesn't make it inappropriate for others to differ. Nobody is saying folk's opinions are wrong. I just differ in my opinion on a gadget. Relax folks, casual discourse. (Not directing this at the inane registration rules post, but some of the other posts.)
I've spent a lot of time reading the Apple support forums and repeated assertions that trade-ins did nothing to solve the problem. It seems inpatient, but I wanted to get it done before the 14 day period was up. The minute it's all fixed, I'll probably repurchase it.

I'm taking the kill em with kindness approach to these posts, but you folks sure would make it easy for someone who did vibe on trolling.
I mean seriously? I can't post politely about my dissatisfaction on a product in an independent forum devoted to discussing that product? Wow.........
Such an unwelcoming crowd.

And as a member who registered on 8/21/2008, posted 17 times, and hadn't logged in again after 6/17/2009, I'd hardly call you established or a "long time member". It's not an issue, just that you have two accounts and you mentioned you were a long time member so I figured I'd point that out to you.
Such an unwelcoming crowd.

Shhhh! I'm the only one experiencing any of these problems! It's just me making stuff up.
It's definitely premature to pass judgement. Without question you're right. That being said, the window of return is up on either Friday or Saturday (not sure how they calculate the 14 days) and I wanted to get a full refund in case others started returning them in large amounts. The minute they fix it, I'll get a new one. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for them to be in stock.
regarding you wifi problems and safari issues you're not alone. a developer friend told me the same story. i hope the 3G version will be better (although i don't know how but i hope).
