I’ve replaced mine with my carrier on day one, the replacement phone suffers with the issue. Whether you replace/refund with your device is only something you can decide.

Just hope a software fix clears this issue up, the phone is excellent otherwise. Probably the nicest feeling iPhone I’ve owned.
I agree as well. Hoping for the best.

Just another data point - 256gb iphone 8+, silver, verizon. Most calls with subtle crackling. I plan to return if there is no software fix within the 14 day return period. Feel as though getting a second device will be a crapshoot and it seems most are still having issues irregardless. Have tried all the tricks posed in the prior 20 pages of this forum - nothing works.

Double sucks, cuz my iphone 6s is waiting to get an activation lock issue fixed - others have reported on a separate forum - where, despite having purchased the phone myself from apple, an unknown email is associated with icloud. Super annoying. No need to discuss this issue here on this forum though...

I was hoping their update would include a fix for this issue, disappointing. May contact Apple again to see if there is an update soon.

11.0.1 doesn’t fix it.
They fail to catch this very widespread and obvious issue during field testing, issue no official word on acknowledging the problem (while at the same time offering a statement on watch lte connectivity issue almost immediately), release a patch that has no fix and still no official statement (even something along the lines of: We acknowledge the problem and are working hard to identify the cause and provide a solution). Disgusting.

Guys! iOS 11.0.1 HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED! Go and download now and see if it fixes!!

It’s unbelievable that a company like Apple can put out something with such a widespread fault. And not fix it urgently. Unless it’s hardware and as others have said, they’ll ignore it and quietly fix it for a future production run hoping that most people won’t notice.

Seriously considering non iOS alternatives now.

I’m going to file another feedback post this time selecting IOS 11.0.1. The more they get the better.

Not impressed at this point.

Will be posting on their forums shortly also.
