I’m going to file another feedback post this time selecting IOS 11.0.1. The more they get the better.

Not impressed at this point.

Will be posting on their forums shortly also.
Would you mind sharing that link again so we can utilize it for consistency?

Is anyone else experiencing a crackling static noise from the earpiece during facetime or cellular calls? Strange thing is this noise happens randomly, roughly 1 in 3 calls. This is happening on iphone 8 plus.

Crackle is still apparent in iOS 11.0.1

It doesn't.
I know that now - what a load of
Sh*t - can’t even fix it on their second chance....

To be fair.. issue may be escalated after locked-in 11.0.1.
I am still concerned about resolution within 14 days.

I think I’m going to try and get my return window lengthened

Either software or interference with something inside the phone it points to now... I’m not terribly confident that it’s getting fixed soon at the moment though

Submitted a tip to theverge. This needs to get wider publicity. I take it Apple still hasn’t bothered to respond to macrumors or phonearena after they published the story.
Do you have an email or link you can share so we can do the same?

No you think it would have been in sorted in the update wouldn’t you.

I have already had an issue with a Store Manger at my local Apple Store.. this is not something I am in the mood to deal with.. returns/exchanges.. the manager was very aggressive and even accused me of being with the media.. when I was holding a repaired MBP in my hands for an issue he was (aggressively) telling me didn’t exist. I held the laptop and said “you just repaired the issue you say does not exist.” - In fairness, a ‘rogue’ (angel) Apple employee and Apple CR took care of me from then on out..

I’m not disputing that. Mine personally doesn’t. It feels solid. That isn’t related to the static issue as far as I’m concerned. I’d take your device for replacement if it creaks.
So I’m at Apple and tested out a few phones for the creaking issue when off and all the ones I tested did it.

When you guys get your iPhone replaced and the Apple employee can confirm the crackling, you should get it in writing why your iPhone was exchanged. If there is no record of why the exchange took place, Apple is going to see this as a non issue.

What are you talking about? They hand you or email you a receipt of the transaction. No phone leaves the store without a 'record.'

What they are saying is make sure Apple rep states reason as “crackling/popping sounds on call” - not the “changed mind” or other BS reason for return. Make them document it.
