Did it ever occur to any of you guys that probably thousands of orders all over the globe went in during that same time frame? They will be batching these when they get them ready for shipment which means that there could be a couple of business days difference between shipment of orders placed on the same day.

What a whiny lot this is.

I totally understand they'll have a lot to get through, but when u read through and see that orders made on the 19th and on the 1st April have already shipped and some are now arriving it's a bit disheartening.

My 3.06 / 4850 iMac was just delivered (to eastern Massachusetts, USA). It's sitting in the brown shipping box on my living room floor as I type. I will unpack and set it up and provide an update later today!

Cool, mine is somewhere between West Yarmouth and my house.... 11 miles but delivery on the Cape is not always the quickest. ;)

How did you manage the temptation of not opening the box the minute it arrived?
I hope you you have the iMac up & running by now?

I only ordered it 10 days ago :D:D:D

How lucky can you get? Wonder why the USA is last on the priority list to get ours. Most in the USA getting theirs today, were ordered towards beginning of March. And now you get your shipping notice in about 10 days while others have waited 30-40+ days. Consider yourself very lucky. :D

Now that some has been delivered to some lucky people... Who will be the first to let us know what version of software they got with it? Will it be 10.5.7?

Have not cracked the box yet but it will not be 10.5.7 ;)

You should be getting yours very soon. Even if you did not get overnight delivery, you are so close to CA that delivery should not take long..

I hope so, but I ordered overnight delivery anyway even though I am next to California. I did not want to take a chance. Apple did tell me last week that I should see some activity on mine either Friday or Monday April 10th or 13th. So far nothing so maybe later today or Monday. :)

I think so too. jmpage2 needs to lighten up some.

Hmmm.. regarding my order details I posted earlier.. even though its due for delivery on the 14th... The funds have not been taken. nor have they been reserved from my account. They did reserve the funds a few days ago, I guess i'm just waitin gfor them to fully take them.

CONGRATS to all that have recieved theirs! post your findings on whatever tests are available for the new card asap! :D especially if you have a 3.06 ATI model :apple:

Fyi

I don't know how many time you have ordered just released computers from Apple before but usually they ship directly from China to the end customers in US and Canada. Obviously, the shipping goes through a number of places before it gets to you, but the normal thing is you received a shipping number when the thing leaves China.

This is actually my first mac. However, if you read the last few pages of this thread, you will know Tom Dahl and gasport's iMac (They are one of the first to receive their iMac with Ati 4850) were shipped from Union City, CA. Of course the machines are manufactured in China, there's no doubt about it. Someone called Apple few days ago and asked where our orders will be shipped from and got the answer CA. Well, you need to read quite a few pages to understand the reason I said that. ;)

Geekbench and GPU-Z, please.

601! Woohoo!

Found GeekBench but GPU=Z is only for Windows platform, unless I am missing something. I will run once I get the iMac setup. Right now I have to get my Wireless Network Password to get access. My first impression at looking at the startup is Wow, being that I have been using a 13" Macbook since I gave my Granddaughter my 20" iMac (as justification to get the 24")
