I just looked at the Thread more closely and seen where BB had his card authorized at 946 pm Thursday night, then the next day 8:56 am nearly 12 hours later it went to Prepared for shipping. So basically it a appx 12 hours but we have a weekend in front of us and don't know how that will affect us if at all?
 
My iMac is in route! Email sent 8:20 PM E. Delivery location Union City, CA. It appears they are pushing these out the door more quickly now.

Shipped Apr 17th.
Delivery Apr 20th.

They charged my card early afternoon, probably around 1-ish, and my order was prepared for shipment at around 1:30am, so it looks like about 12 hours.

When I ordered my macbook I got standard ground shipping, but :apple: suprised me by delivering on a Saturday for that too :D! So my hopes are up!!

Ok I went through this thread and no doubt missed alot of people, but the list below is who I see that has ordered in March and has not had their status changed from Not Shipped Yet to Prepared for shipping or Shipped. Just Checked to see if any software updates were available like 10.5.7 for the 4850 ATI chip, and nothing. Bummer. I was hoping to see something tonight.

I think it could help with some of the problems people are having with their new iMacs.
 
Holy shmiz. Mac virgin here. Delivered today. Isn't a Friday delivery great?! I can't believe it hooked up to the internet wirelessly with NO screwing around! That's one thing about PCs that has always been a pain... network this, proxy that, zero config, IP address blah blah... Hooked for good. Sorry, don't mean to rub it in the faces of the people who haven't gotten them yet, I'm just happy. I ordered Mar 3. :)
 
I doubt waiting for 10.5.7 is going to help as people have been reporting freezing issues when running Windows in Boot Camp - a hardware issue.

3.06 iMac ATI 4850 ordered on March 8 - received April 16 (originally had next day shipping - guess I should have held out and whined with the rest and saved the money, huh?).

No issues thus far and I'm throwing a lot of audio / video editing at it, along with heavy web surfing and video watching and iTunes, etc. No gaming on it - PS3 for that. Hopefully I will not see this issues other are seeing - will post if I do.

I got my shipping notification!! shipped 4/17 should be here on 4/21

But now I'm really worried about this whole freeze up issue:(
 
I've been playing with my 4850/2.93 iMac since i got it last night. I updated it to all the latest software, and loaded on a few games. Everything has been rock solid for me. I played games for a few hours, left it running all night (no sleep mode) and have not had any freezes to speak of. I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief right now. It does not seem to affect all units, should I experience the issue, though, I'll definitely update one of the various freeze threads here.

Last Updated 12:30 PM PST . It seems that a bunch of iMacs are going to be Delivered on Monday and Tuesday of next week. :D

I don't think that would have a bearing on the problem at all. If it fails it is probably due to a firmware update that is needed and to erase your drive and do a fresh install will have no effect. At least that is what I think. Apple Insider stated that Apple is aware of the lock ups on some of the machines and they are working on a firmware fix that could come out with the 10.5.7 software update. But the bad news is this fix could delay the update of 10.5.7 coming out next week unless they are pulling a weekender or all nighter!!!:D
