That's the most complicated and unlikely answer, considering no rumor of such a phone has surfaced on this website AFAIK (...among all the other reasons that have been repeatedly pointed out).
Why is it so hard to believe that Apple kept a tight seal for leaks on something like this?

It’s obvious to me that the SIMPLEST answer is…

Seriously, people are dumb with their expectations.

"Innovation. That's R" is apparently un-Apple, because there's no Apple logo on it.
"Wonderlust". That's clearly Apple, because there is an Apple logo on it.

Cool!
Dude you gotta just let go. There is nothing about this that indicates it will be a iphone. The documents and the render were intentionally done to sucker people into thinking it’s an apple product.

I saw some similar marketing materials at a Kinko's

This SO works out, too. Because the Mac group in Apple were Pirates. And Kinko’s is now a FedEx company and macOS(Ex)? It doesn’t get any more plain that this is right out of Apple.

And, it doesn’t have an Apple logo OR use Apple’s font or normal branding methods which is exactly what I would EXPECT if they’re going to shake things up with a Pi[R]ate phone!

Go ahead, completely ignore the bottom of the phone in the ad, which is exactly what the bottom of an iPhone looks like. Charging port, speaker port, microphone port and all.
and what phones don’t look like that?

From one of the deleted Reddit threads…

“Checked with some friends who work at Apple. This is fake, and has been bouncing around online since 2020. In fact, they’re asking if the OP is the one who printed it out since it’s not even the same paper, font, or imagery used by Apple.

Moderators, please delete this post since it’s confirmed by multiple Apple employees as spam and misinformation.”

So, that’s apparently why the mods have been deleting the posts.

THOUGH, perhaps this is ACTually the way Apple would shake things up with the introduction of a brand new type of phone! Even going as far as making sure their employees tell anyone that asks about it, it’s fake! They are ALL in on it!

I saw this in London, saw a couple whilst driving through Shoreditch.
Great, now we have an even clearer proof this is Apple- the bottom port and speakers are a perfect match to an Apple product. Seriously, a copycat company would get sued for this.
Also notice in this shot how the spot where the sleep/wake would be is blackened out. So yeah, the complete iPhone design is staring us right in the face.

Not to mention everything else that has been discovered (but I will). Docs found in Cupertino. Massive marketing budget (international). Apple language. Apple mystery-style campaign. All the sustainability and repair rumours about the iPhone 15 we’ve heard.

If it’s not Apple at this point, I’m convinced it’s an entirely new company product (like Tesla). @wickedrm what do you think, could it possibly be a new company that really are diehard copycats?

The font argument made me cautious for a moment, but then again, Apple has changed its font before. It used Garamond for 20 years.

Also, why is this the only spot it’s being mentioned? I have an easier answer: censorship. I tried posting this evidence and photos onto Reddit /iPhone and both my posts were deleted. Cool bros. @Unregistered 4U youre right, it was my (deleted) Reddit post.
The logic is stupid about photoshopping or whatever. We know 100% by this point the billboards aren’t photoshopped. Nice denials from Apple. Besides, only 5-10 people at Apple would even know this is real. Lol.

I’m going to look forward to the event, and looking back at this thread afterwards.

An exercise in wish-casting and nonsensical reasoning skills.

If this is Apple, I’ll post a picture of me eating my hat.
Honestly, I'm still not 100% that it's Apple. If it is, and all this was completely validated, I will buy whatever this new iPhone is at launch. And I usually wait to buy second hand.

Why? If this was a “sustainable” iPhone what difference in your day to day use would separate it from a normal iPhone?

I really like the idea of closed loop manufacturing, but Apple would make that part of the regular iPhone difference, not a whole different line of the phone.

I’m curious what boxes need to be checked by those who believe this speculation that makes it “sustainable” enough to buy vs the regular iPhone?

Normal friend working at apple could not tell you even if it was true due to binding stuff they signed.

Riiight some friends at Apple. If this has been happening every year since 2020 why is it only now the billboards are getting noticed. I don’t buy that for a second.
