That’s 🤩Some super interesting enhancement with YouRace and watchOS 11: offline maps !
You just need to use native Apple Maps feature on iOS18: select a region, tap on sync to Apple Watch and it’s done !
You will see the map in YouRace without any network connectivity !
More tests tonight but it looks super promising !
Ok, thank you. I have Ultra 2.Sorry, for this issue.
It has been discovered by some people on watchOS11 but I can't find a way to reproduce it ... I thought it was fixed ...
I will dig again into it, I understand your disappointment ...
For all people with YouRace Pro, I encourage you to enable "Auto save" feature. If your app crash you will be able to restore a workout with route.
watchOS 11 has a lot of problems with simple APIs that are broken ...
Which watch do you own ? The 2 people who have this problem have an Ultra 1.
Thank you for your effort. I know, that is not your fault, but I need app that is 100% stable, so I will stay with Apple Workout app. After reviewing and reviewing my code which has not changed for notifications for a while, I am convinced this issue has been introduced by watchOS 11.
There are 2 possibilities:
- I am building YouRace with Xcode 15 instead of 16 to have the same binaries as during summer and hope the problem comes from the last SDK
- if the issue is from watchOS 11, I can just hope Apple will fix it in new releases ...
But as I can't reproduce it, I don't know how to fix.
If anyone here is able to trigger the issue, I can send a beta version built with Xcode 15 to see if it fixes the problem.
If I remember correctly, then the last version didn’t have that problem. It's the same issue as with notifications, but I have seen it on this screen.
The screen becomes unresponsive for an unknown reason.
I am spending hours trying to figure out what happens, it has clearly been introduced by watchOS11 ...
Of course, I find no documentation for this, and if the bug is limited to watchOS and not iOS, the developer community is smaller and the feedbacks are more rare.
WatchOS 11.0.1 has fixed a bug about screen disabled on S9/10/U2, but it's not this one ...
I suspect there are remaining issues ...
