Lol, sorted...

That sounds like our household. Two of us in the house and one contract is due in April for upgrade and the other October.

I get a new phone in April and then in October the new iPhone or Note and they get my then old iPhone 6+

Sorted ;)
Everybody is a winner ha

Only thing is on how much it will cost. Havnt heard any UK prices yet.

Yep that's going to be the deal breaker indeed. If it costs as much subsidised as I can pick up a phone for off contract (I paid €450 for my brand new note 4) then I'll likely have to reconsider. The fact that early indications are UK & Ireland are getting 64gb Edge only which has a retail price of €950 !! is making me think it will indeed be €400-500 even on contract.

I havent used my NEXT upgrade in about a year and a half. I have been buying/trading phones off contract and sitting on my upgrade waiting for the right Android device to call home next to my 6+.

I am intrigued by the Nexus 6 as I love a stock Android experience but not blown away by the phone.

Love the design of these 2 phones but cannot stand TW and not sure using an upgrade to risk to see if TW has been toned down is the way to go.

Tech addiction is a real thing.

Need help

I'm thinking of getting S6 edge and running with both edge and note 4

Convince me otherwise ha

No I won't lol

Its what we do. At least we don't have unhealthy vices. Just close your eyes and do it lol

I've made up my mind. I will be getting an android phone this month. Sod it. Every month I've talked myself out of it and bought an iPad or a Macbook or something Apple related. This month I'm getting either the note 4 or S6 edge. I don't care if I can't realistically use two phones at the same time. I've built my apple ecosystem up and now I'm gonna start on a Samsung one lol

----------

Ha I've got a game plan

Would still use my note 4 as a tablet type replacement on the go. That way got 2 days worth of usage available when on the road

My girlfriend contract ends in 6 months so when the note 5 is out she can have the note 4 or edge after that. .everybody is a winner ha

I've already used my boyfriends upgrade. He got my note 3 when I upgraded to the S5 last year. Which reminds me that one will be eligible for buy out in a few months....

I'll want to get the 128GB S6 edge. That won't be cheap at all. I've booked myself for 3 extra shifts at work. Might have to book a few more when prices come out tomorrow.

I'm a mod on Android Central and I have not heard of this happening on everyone else's phone over there either.

It's certainly not happening on my Note 4 or Note Edge.

Yep going back to KitKat on mine I've had no problems compared to Lollipop, (other than having to look at the older aesthetics of stock apps).

Even on XDA those that were experiencing issues since updating to lollipop all seemed to find the solution was to simply rollback.

Actually though .... I was surprised that it was so easy to rollback, which does suggest the lollipop version (didn't change any baseband or modem firmwares) was indeed only rolled out for testing to the few countries that got it for the brief window is was available on Kies.

Good to hear about being able to switch back to KitKat so easily.

Lollipop wasn't quite ready for release due to the memory leak. I know on my old Nexus 7, it has made it unusable. It was always slow anyways but upgrading to Lollipop was a disaster on that device.

Lollipop has been running great on my old Nexus 4.

Yeah it's running great for me on my Moto X 2014 too despite it being just 5.0

I have my white note 4 with exynos since yesterday. Had a black note 4 with snapdragon before.

Love the white one. Run geekbench 3 today and scored 1200/4200, this note is so fast....

How was your battery life with Snapdragon, and how is it now?

I have one with Exynos and I can barely get 3:30/4 hs of SoT. It's been a week since I got. I gave the battery more than a few cycles and it's still not lasting as much as I thought it would.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

But its important to remember what you are doing plays an important part in how much screen on time you get.

Surfing the internet or using standard 2D apps will yield more screen on time than if you are gaming. Likewise more intensive games will yield less screen on time than simpler ones.

There is no great governor of screen on time you should get because it's entirely personal.

Likewise 3.5-4hrs screen on time over a long day where the phone has been in weak WiFi and mobile coverage will likely be about right as your device will use more battery in weak signal situations.

Thanks for your input! I appreciate it.

I was exactly 13hs away from the charger. Only 3 of 13 were on LTE (decent signal), and the rest on super fast college WiFi.
No games, just a few minutes of chrome, Instagram and the camera. Moderate whatsapping and some hangouts (SMS).
Oh, and my Moto 360 is always connected.

Thanks again!

Have you tried by chance a day without the 360 connected. I know its meant to be Bluetooth low power but it still has an impact regardless. Basically spend 1 day without Bluetooth on (you can resync later) and see if it improves.

Then you at least know one way or the other.

You obviously don't pay attention much, because there are many topics about it like the one below which is over 9 pages long.

Note 4 vs iPhone 6+ dB/Signal Strength, which wins?

iPhone by a little. Work has a weak signal and I have 2 bars and no drops at work with the iPhone 6+ but with my Note4, I barely had 1 bar.

I do pay attention and I've posted in it myself. There are also plenty of people who posted in that thread saying that they do not experience any lag including myself.

Read up.

Yep, and they have no clue what lag is or have a device that is modified. I owned one dude, and saw all the complaints about it. The Note 4 isn't all that great. Actually all Samsungs have had lag for me. HTC M8 was my favorite.

I know what lag is and my Note 4 is the fastest phone I have ever owned, even faster than my 6+. I like it so much that I also own a Note Edge.

Both my phones are rooted only so that I can use Adaway. Stock otherwise.

I've seen lag on my 6+ when I go to use spotlight or SIRI sometimes.
