Yep, and they have no clue what lag is or have a device that is modified. I owned one dude, and saw all the complaints about it. The Note 4 isn't all that great. Actually all Samsungs have had lag for me. HTC M8 was my favorite.
I have a Note 4 and it is the fastest most responsive phone I have had. I do not have lag or slowdown. I have had the M7 and M8 and the Note 4 blows them both away. Not all Samsung phones have lag as you say. Read the threads here and you will see for yourself.

Also, not sure if you've done this, but enable the developer options and then you can disable the three selections in that menu for animations. Set those to zero and there is no lag. This may be the reason some say they experience lag when others don't.

When I had the Note 4 and closed an app, for lack of a better way to explain it just imploded or disintegrated into the screen so to speak and it was not without lag.

I have other smartphones that did not do this, you close an app and it just vanishes and more quickly.

Have you tried by chance a day without the 360 connected. I know its meant to be Bluetooth low power but it still has an impact regardless. Basically spend 1 day without Bluetooth on (you can resync later) and see if it improves.

Then you at least know one way or the other.

I tried and same results. Seems that bluetooth doesn't really use much battery.

I'm giving up on this, so I bought a second battery. I just bought this from this chinese seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x3220mAh-O...016?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c94ca0ac0

The listing says OEM, and the writing on the battery says Cell Made in Korea, assembled in China. My battery says Cell Made in Korea, Assembled in Taiwan.

What do you guys think? Do you think fast charge will be a problem?

Thanks

You should have disabled those animations.

So having to make adjustments to get rid of the known lag I see. Proof right there. Why you lying that you don't have lag? lol

Yes, I did this, and it still lagged when opening the dialer, or other things. AGAIN, ITS KNOWN ISSUE WITH SAMSUNG phones with all their crap ware and interface. Gosh, I think Android owners are more stubborn and think their devices are the best in the world than any other device period.

Why can't you accept the fact that many many people just don't have any lag?

People post about it every day here and on other sites.

Also, at least people have access to these options such as the developer menu unlike iOS.

Anyways, I'm putting you as the first person ever on my ignore list. Have fun.

S4 had major lag for me
S4 GPE was incredibly smooth though

Note 3 was first Samsung device I thought was really smooth in day to day use and never had any issues with keeping tasks or apps in memory. Yes occasionally there was the odd micro stutter in widget draw or whilst installing apps whilst doing something else, but otherwise very nice experience. I did hear the after it got JB performance suffered but I had moved on before then.

S5 was very smooth for me in its User Interface, but did suffer from poor memory management and app refreshes when only a few apps were open.

Alpha (Exynos) was incredibly smooth all around and didn't stutter or hiccup. It was also far better at handling memory despite having same ram as s5 and hardly ever got issues with app refreshes.

Note 4 (KitKat) is very smooth too and whilst heavier on ram than my Note3 was, it can still multitask well and app refreshes are kept to a minimum but they do happen. Bought same as Alpha tbh.

Note 4 (lollipop 5.0.1 DBT Firmware) very smooth GUI but app refreshes were as bad, if not worse than S5 Touchwiz for me....

After rolling back to 4.4.4 it's back to being great again.

I expierence lag on mine, and when I say lag I mean frame rate drops while using the phone. Also opening up maps takes for ever.

Still a great phone, one of my favorites, but mine definitely lags.

Having owned seven of the Note 4's, yes I said seven, I can honestly say I have somewhat of experience with these. The lag is hit or miss and I have no idea why. The T-Mobile ones seem to be better than the ATT ones. The lag can COMPLETELY be obliterated with a custom ROM. I've had ones which had no lag whatsoever, others which lagged a little, one had this weird lag/hiccup where every 5 seconds it would completely freeze for half a second. My very first ATT note 4 lagged a lot, especially opening the dialer, switching from camera to gallery and using the multi window. My current ATT note 4 does not lag at all in those functions. Same software build, same hardware, both unrooted and unmodified. I have NO idea why there was a difference, but there was.

Go ahead, don't need your lies here saying no one has lag. Most people who own samsung phones have known lag issues. It depends on the person if they notice it or not or even know what LAG is.

I am about to get my 4th Note 4. First had speaker grill issues being loose. The 2nd one had issues with the battery life and heart rate monitor. Now, the current one has Wi-Fi issues and signal issues. So here we go with #4 fingers crossed it works. Idk why Samsung has bad quality control. My dad has zero issues with his Note 4. Too bad the value tanked a bit for the Note 4 since I would've loved to offload my 4th brand new unlocked model close to $700 and get the iPhone 6+ or GS6.

Yeah I don't know why it's hit or miss. My current NOte 4 has NO lag whatsoever, I'm very happy with it. I think Samsung's quality testing isn't the best though.

Are you going to look at the S6? Don't think I've seen you on that thread much so maybe you are happy with the N4.

Heads up to those at&t note 4 owners, 5.01 lollipop is now available, just updated mine, took about 2 hours and 60% of my battery. Really like the new look and animations. Still need for it to settle down and cool off, phone got pretty hot there, before I can comment on performance and battery life.

So I've become the proud owner of a black Note 4 today.

Time to scratch that Android itch again. Looking forward to the Lollipop update.

If anyone here has an AT&T Note 4 and updates to lollipop let us know how its performing battery, memory management etc...

Test open app performance. Open maybe 9-10 apps and see if your device has to refresh app content more than it did before. Check my video earlier in the thread.

Since you have the newest version they've rolled out - it would be nice to see if they have fixed app refreshes / memory managment.

Just tried a quick test with stock web browser, dialer, google messenger, Netflix, Hulu, HBO go, YouTube, amazon, google maps, gmail, and pocketcast. What I did was cycle 3 times by hitting the multitasking button and selecting the first app at the top. Of those apps, HBO go, stock browser, and messenger reloaded every time, while Hulu and google maps reloaded once, and the other apps never needed to reload.

App switching does seem faster, and google maps loaded WAY faster this time than before.

Also Ram usage after restart was 1.87gb.

Thanks :) that sounds more promising. Hopefully Europe will be back in the rollout schedule soon with any fixes included :)

So my replacement came in. It was also brand new too. I decided not to activate it and sell it along with my Gear 1st gen together. It's brand new and unlocked too, so if people want to buy it off me, PM me so that I don't want to create any hassles for anyone. I have a link to the ad as well. I am looking for a 64 GB iPhone 6+ however, so I am all ears to a potential trade! (Don't mark me for soliticiation please, I am just trying to say to message me!.)

I like the S6 edge a lot, but you won't pry the Note series stylus out of my dead hands. I'd switch to a stylus equipped S6 edge in a heartbeat though. I never understood why Samsung didn't include the stylus on both of them.

Holy crap, finally. I may give it a shot, but I'm a bit nervous hearing about the issues. I'm assuming once you upgrade you can't go back unless you root/Odin?

Not sure for you.

For me the 910F lollipop rom didn't have any different bootloader or modems. To go back to 4.4.4 all I had to do was flash the correct official 4.4.4 firmware via ODIN. No rooting. No knox tripping.

Cool. I've used Odin a lot, but never realized you could use it without root. I think the locked bootloader of the ATT Note 4 wouldn't allow a flash though so I would assume us ATT owners would be stuck with Lollipop if we upgraded. I'm not sure though.
