Note 4 makes for a very worthwhile upgrade (if you're currently using a note 2)
It's worthy even if you are on the note 3.

It's alright.... didn't blow me away. Kind of everything that was expected is there, and I was right about 4gb memory being nonsense.
I'd still likely go for a Alpha simply for the size / ergonomics, but with 720p and only 2gb ram - knowing how memory starved for multitasking the S5 is I'm not convinced.
I would actually like a Galaxy Alpha but with perhaps 1080p and 3GB ram, so Samsung has actually put in me a place where despite all their plethora of products - doesn't offer me one that I would rush out and buy... (given I bought the S4 / Note 3 / S5 all on their launch)..
The Note Curve - seems like another niche device released because they can - rather than a real need for it.
So yeah ... Nice but underwhelmed - and a can't seem to see any new radically cool features of the S-Pen either.

It would be nice if for example they made an Alpha sized note 4. That would be compelling to me.
Yeah I suppose so, just harder to justify, as least for me. I wonder if any of the new s pen features will make their way to the note 3?It's worthy even if you are on the note 3.
Right - all these lines yet you still can't get a phone that offers what you want.
IMO, the Note series is Samsung's best. They should streamline the Galaxy S line to offer a few sizes with mid-range specs at cheaper prices.
The Note line should be their flagship. Offer the phablet and a smaller one (even with the s-pen) - best specs and released together.
If Samsung were more focused, they could really dominate. But as of now, it seems like they are on their way down.
Have to agree with you MRU....not much to get excited about. The N4 will be a great phone. It is still just a little too large for me. Would love to see the Alpha with a S-Pen! Samsung really has done the stylus extremely well with the Note line.
the Note Curve looks cool but the novelty will wear off soon. But at the same time someone has to experiment with something new. I think curved or foldable phone is the next leap in mobile technology. So maybe curved screens is a step in the right direction.....but far from where it needs to go.

Even if you have the S5.
Exactly ..... I think a 4.7" - 5" note 4 with 1080p screen and similar specs to big note 4, with s-pen support would indeed sell like hot cakes. Certainly more so than the Note Edge will ever likely sell. Focus samsung, focus.....
An extra 1gb of ram alone makes it compelling over the S5 .... My moto X can multitask far better than my S5.
I don't have a problem with the ram in the S5. I've just always been more partial to the note line.
I would love that.
It irks me - mostly when I'm running two devices side by side and the amount of refreshing/reloading just after a few apps open - bugs me. It's my own fault for having so many bleeding phones around lol.
Actually no, not all devices will have the 805 soc, in fact I believe these are the FIRST devices to have it so your wrong to make that claim.
And nope, you're also wrong that I said this phone would have a 4k resolution.

The problem with having a smaller size Note around 5" or lower will cannabalize Galaxy S series phones. Why buy a S if you can buy a Note?
Give me Note 4 specs
5 inch screen
waterproof (I live in Florida, surrounded by water activities )
GooglePlay edition or Cyanogen 1+1 type OS
metal body design as upgraded on the Note 4
A black 1+1 type of back on the phone
sd card slot
removable battery
Is that too much to ask? I'm ready to throw my money at you Samsung or whoever can do this combo!
Who cares about what you believe? There are versions from a lot of phones with a 805. The S5 LTE-A, for example. The G3 Prime, too.
Someone did say it. I think it was you.
Really? See if you can find my comment where I said that, plus here in the UK the G3 only comes with the 801, a quick google shows it's not out yet, and a quick google shows the G3 prime is only rumoured.
Who care's what I believe? I do when you quote me as saying things I have not. Do I not have the right to correct your inaccurate claims now?
Samsung + Sony today both gave fairly impressive showings for their respective products & categories. And Asus introduced a sort of interesting smart watch.
Then Motorola later this week.
Then Apple next week.
Good times!
