How many iPhone 6+'s have been sold ?

What proportion have had issues in comparison? Answer = a very very tiny minority.

Indeed I'd argue many of the iPhone bending reports were either bogus or people purposely bending iPhones after the whole 'bendgate' fabrication (unbox-therapy successfully manufactured a scandal for youtube revenue ) . Indeed it was shown after that many other phones also bend when you put them under the same stress.

This silliness of bending is thrown out every time someone wants to have a dig at the iPhone, usually by very insecure or over sensitive Android users, and at this stage it's so passé its tiresome...

Well ill put it this way, the majority of people i know at work that have a 6+ have the issue with their device. Either the people at my work are all very unlucky or there is actually an issue with the design of the phone. You can defend Apple all you like but the problem exists. I own many Apple products but im not going to blindly defend them when they release sub-par hardware.

Do people like you seriously only have the same argument day in and day out? The bending may have been overhyped (kinda like any iphone release, overhyped) but it definitely was an issue for the people that it happened to. Have you ever looked at oneofthenine.com ? Hundreds of people are experiencing bent iphones, and NOT from being in pockets. The heat from just CHARGING the phone can make them bend. And don't talk about that bogus biased consumer reports tests.

Just because a group of people is a "minority" doesn't mean that their experience is less valid than yours. I mean there are many "minority" ethnic groups in america, does that mean their opinions don't matter to the "majority"? No it doesn't.

Now please quit minimizing the bendgate issue.

Can you link where these statistics are officially tabulated?

My 6 plus hasn't bent. I think because of all the ho ha I'm more worried about it and take it out of the case to check it from time to time. I suppose I'm more worried about it but I'm not treating it any differently to my other devices. I do think it's all overblown. I'm using mine jsut as I use all my other devices and it hasn't bent.

I agree..... I think it was overblown too. But like you I am very careful so as too not have that happen to my 6+. It has been a rock solid phone so far but that doesn't mean others aren't having issues. I tend to baby my devices. :)

People like me ... A person who has had a dozen android phones last year. And in the process of trying to 'slam' me you do the very thing your claiming I am. Oh how sweet is irony.

I think there might be something wrong with you if you've had a "dozen" android phones. Maybe you just haven't found the right one? Or maybe you're just too simple for an android and therefore went to the iphone? Or maybe they were all samsung phones and you had a poor luck of the draw? Did you ever try out a NEXUS, you know, the iphone of google?

I'm not trying to "slam" you I'm just trying to get you to question your blind religious apple faith of always saying that nothing is wrong with apple, apple never does anything bad, all hail apple. It's people like you why people hate apple so much. You're defending an item that costs almost as much as a damn macbook. Something that expensive shouldn't be bending so easily. Yah yah, androids bend too, but at least the ones that are bending don't cost $800.

Even people with CASES are having bent iphones when they take the case off. It can happen while charging the battery.

It seems 'thinking' is not your strong point.

Maybe you should read my post history over the last 10 years rather than simply jump to any assumptions and you'll realise how ridiculous every one of those assumptions truly are ....

And again with "the people like you" statement .... You don't even realise how ignorant, derogatory and prejudice you are being, but still persist regardless.

Oh, I'm sorry, is it like, a rule that I need to read everyone's posting history before I make a post?

I didn't know how special you are. I guess you truly are special. I mean, heck, at least you're not part of the people who's iphone 6's bent, how conveniently special for you. I guess you're not one of the insignificant nine[hundred] people who's iphone 6 got bent. Yay for you. You get a free iphone 7.

You said you have had DOZENS of android phones. You either have more money than sense, or you bought the cheapest android phones you could get.

I'm sorry, not tryin' to be rude, but you are the epitome of fanboy. Ban me, I don't care. I don't need to read your posting history to know this. :apple::apple::apple:

2 things to say. 1) you have the ATT version, which IMO stutters and lags. I had a couple of ATT Note 4's, and eventually migrated to a Tmobile Note 4. All the ATT ones lagged and stuttered, even after I stripped them down of apps. The Tmobile one doesn't lag at all, it's super smooth. Something about the ATT one is nasty. 2) In my experience the Note 4 holds much more information in it's display. I posted some pics a while ago on Map applications for example, you could see more map area, more street names, etc on the Note 4 than the 6+.

Yeah, its the at&t version, it seems to have actually gotten better over time though, still not as super smooth as the iPhone though. Hopefully the lollipop update will help with that.

Not sure which maps your using, when I compare google maps to apple maps its about the same, google maps does show more names, but that seems more like design choice rather than not using the screen real estate. Most apps I use though, show more information on the iPhone. Even the stock launcher is only a 4x4 grid while the iphone's is 6x4. Main reason why I'm using Nova instead of Google Now launcher, I was able to customize to a 5x5 grid. Again, I hope this is something that will come with updates.

----------

Great comparison. Not sure what browser you're using, but I use the stock browser. First thing I did was put it in full immersive mode. Meaning no notification bar. Then turn the text scaling down to 90%. Default setting had fonts too big for my taste. From your screen shot of the two phones on MacRumors website, the font on the Note 4 looks larger than the iPhone 6+. Try out my settings of you use the stock browser.

I'm using chrome, and I have tried adjusting the fonts, but it hasn't really made much difference. Buts its not just fonts, if I go to the verge which is image heavy, those images are also a bit smaller, so more of the content is on screen at once. Maybe I'll try using the stock browser to your settings, thanks.

AT&T really does some weird crap to their phones. Even the nexus 6. Their phones are slower.

Very good post. My perfect phone would be the iphone 6+ with a stylus. If you like to handwrite things, it is a hard thing to pull away from. I hate so much about samsung phones but the note, really s-pen, is amazing.

Thanks. Yeah, the spen has really surprised with how well the hand writing recognition works. It's also very useful in using it to select text. This and multi window are the main reasons I got it over say the Nexus 6, and I hope apple will bring those features to the 6S Plus, though I will not hold my breath on the stylus.

That's odd, I posted some time ago Google maps on both the ip6+ and the note 4 and the N4 clearly showed more data, more actual map area and more street names because of the dpi. I also posted the same pics but with Waze navigation. What really bothered me about the ip6+ was interface elements were large and cartoonish in some apps, such as Waze, they seemed blown up and out of proportion.

I don't have my ip6+ anymore, otherwise I'd post up comparison shots. I'll try to dig up the pics I posted here when I get home later.

Well, here is a screen shot from both, I tried to get it at the same zoom level, the iPhone's is at default while the Notes I had to zoom out a little on one to match it, the other it's at default.

Really? I didn't notice that with the Moto X and HTC One, both were AT&T models, though the One did perform better after I converted to GPE.

Calm down. Nobody appointed you as Android's white knight, you can catch some sleep now.

As hard as it may seem, this is a Note 4 thread, so I don't see why every third post needs to be dedicated to bashing another phone/brand.

I, too, have had over a dozen Android phones (that phone history in the bottom doesn't even scratch the surface). Why does it have to be something relating to "more money than sense?" Is it appalling to you that people have hobbies and can afford them? (Personally I just trade like a mofo on Kijiji, usually not spending anything). Or are you more into brand loyalty and never trying something new? I don't get your crusade on this topic. Take it easy bro.

So, today is the big day, the last day I have to return the Note and undo my contract extension. And the verdict is, the Note is a keeper. Honestly, as well as apple executed its first phablet, Samsung is 4 generations deep now and has really polished the note experience. Is it perfect, no. The iPhone Plus still does a lot of things better, but with multi window, spen, and android's customizations, I'm enjoying my Note more than my iPhone (granted some of that might be because the Note is still new for me). The Note just does the bigger phone better.

Boils down to preference. Some people like the simplicity of a big iPod experience while others prefer the power of a Surface Pro 3 or Thinkpad Helix2 in their pocket. Hoping for the day when phones are powered by Intel 10nm and run full Windows 10 then when docked replaces the traditional hybrid/laptop.

Had my Note 4 replaced by AT&T a few weeks back and it's been a real champ since.

Now that the faulty camera is out of my life, I can really enjoy an all around stellar device.

It's been tweaked just right and purrs along quite smoothly.

Iphone plus is a great phone but to me the note takes advantage of what a big phone should have.

That's pretty much it, pocket computer versus a big ipod. I also agree that we need full OS' on phones simply so we can dock them. I envision a future where we don't have laptops, tablets or desktops anymore, just a smartphone and docking stations.

Motorola Atrix.

Pity the idea was prematurely done and poorly executed, but Moto were onto something there, hopefully we will see it again when the hardware and software are mature enough and ready.

I can't seem to get a good one. Went through 5 of them, yes that's FIVE. Every one had a hardware issue, what a piece of crap in terms of QC. I absolutely love the phone, best phone I've ever used in my life, but the issues are really going to force me to sell it. I'm not a big fan of the iphone 6 plus so I have no idea what phone I would get.

Same here. I had my heart set on one but all had a loose volume rocker, and I can't be doing with that. I ended up with the 6+, which is kind of meh. The Nexus 6 is too big and has no real features. I'd say they're your three options right now until the next wave of phones come out.
