Has anyone sent anything back to eglobalcentral? They state you get a 30 day returns policy but they charge a restocking fee.
Yeah friends sent back their one plus two to them. In their case they only had to pay the return delivery charge and weren't charged a restocking fee - they hadn't opened the device. They just changed their mind.

Are you returning your Note 5 already?

Hmm what about when I've been using the phone? Although it looks brand new.
And it depends, I think so, its just a bit too big for my pockets, plus its a fair bit if work to get setup as I want, I use the Google news widget and to get that text to a size I can comfortably seems to mean using the Nova launcher, which for some reason crashes my phone and restarts it?
I like the Google launcher but again I then can't make the news widget text bigger, only the email widget. Also not sure about having a physical back button.

So I've given it a go, the screen is great and the phone is very fast, the camera is good too, but I haven't really used the S pen at all and its tricky to setup, also a lot of bloatware as expected.

I would look at the Z5 if it had wireless charging. So will look at what the Nexus 5X is like on Tuesday instead.

I'd email them and find out. Restocking fee may not be too much and just consider it a 'renting fee' for trying it :)

Yeah font sizing on homescreen of TW is completely independent of system font sizing.

You gave it a go :) Strange that Nova is crashing on you though.

I'll have a look at their help section and email them as you suggested. And yes, if you don't try these things then you don't know. It's a great device, but I think I like the one handed use. Think I'll use my Nexus for now though but see what is announced on Tuesday first haha.

★[ROM] ☆ DARTHSTALKER NOTE5 | VERSiON 1 | Aroma | Multi-Carrier/Device | 9.27.2015 ☆
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...m-darthstalker-note5-version-1-aroma-t3212091

This is it, the first true big time ROM developer making his custom ROM for the Note 5, And man, for the first version, this thing is a beast, tons of customization and tweaks, and warp speed fast.

My Note 5 makes my old Nexus 6 feel like a slow poke outdated phone.

Curious, how many of you run apps to control apps and help battery life ?

- Does Greenify Xposed really help a ton on battery life ?
- App Ops ? Allows you to stop apps from using Location, or starting up, and a bunch of other things. Does it really help ?
- Disable Applications [ROOT] ? It allows total freezing of any app you choose, but be careful you can stop things from working

My point is, I am having Calendar widget issues with Chronos, I use the Chronos Calendar Widget all the time, and it shows my work schedule meetings. But with some of these apps, I must have frozen something wrong, and now it won;t list my events. Makes me wonder if running those three above apps is worth it ?

Opinions ?

This is the ROM I'm using now. So far so good.

Thanks, installed it and so far it working great. 2 things though that kind of worry me, it seems to always be running in the background. And from what I understand, it filters my data, which means it sees everything I do, how is it from a security standpoint?

Ad blockers can see your browsing activity by definition. This data is valuable and will definitely be sold to marketing companies. That's likely their primary revenue source aside from ad companies paying them for whitelisting.

So probably not an actual security risk (as in the device itself being compromised), but you definitely trade ad exposure for tracking. Of course the ads themselves would be tracking you with cookies if they weren't blocked, but in this case you've given them direct access by installing the tracker in your browser.

Yeah, as nice as it was (big difference going to android central and technobuffalo) I ended up unistalling it and hoping for some official Google support. Just wasn't worth the risk.

for those rooted and running custom roms, I understand Samsung Pay doesn't work but have you guys tested Android Pay?

According to this XDA link, it seems that Android Pay gets crippled as well (for now).

Just got another update on my note 5 from AT&T. Supposed more performance improvements. I wish though that I didn't have to site through my apps being optimized every time, I have 261.

Hmm well I still have it, in fact I raised an RMA request and haven't heard a thing. Tell you what if they say theirs a restocking fee I'll have a think, I could throw in the new Fone Salesman WoodPuck bamboo wireless charger I just bought and the case and screen protector and my sandpapered Brodit car holder.

What network are you on? I have only fully tested EE on it.

Off topic, but have a question;

I actually really like Google Messenger for texts, works 100% bulletproof all the time. But only one complaint, I wish I could turn off Heads Up notifications from popping up on the home screen or when surfing the web or in other apps.

I liked with stock Messages, I could turn off Heads Up, and just have the new message displayed in the Status Bar only, it would roll the message across the status bar, and I loved that, but not sure I can set up Google Messenger to do the same ?
