It looks pretty bad, Samsung doesn't look like it wants to disclose any current numbers.
The only numbers Samsung has released so far were 10,000 units in the US and under 75,000 units in Korea. The Korean figure included s6 edge plus units.
The best part? Doesn't affect my life or the devices functionality in anyway :D

They are huge multi billion dollar company, so I am all for them and their competitors being humbled and forced to do better.

Yay for the consumer! :)

As much as I love my gold Note 5, I am going to have to return it. The whites look pink on the bottom portion of the screen, and it is annoying me. My first Note 5 didn't have this problem. Debating to get a blue Note 5 and take a chance...

omg thank god, i hated everytime i would open the dialer.

Also the multi task window is now longer laggy when you open it correct.
It doesn't for me, but I don't use it too often, I didn't even really notice that it was laggy on my note 4.

Yeah, the 6P really impressed me, I would still take the Note because of the extra features brought by touchwiz, but if speedy updates are more important for you than the nexus looks awesome.

Glad that it seems everyone in phablet space is realizing what Samsung realized 2 years ago, 5.7" is the largest size for a mainstream phablet, any larger and it just becomes too wide to use comfortably.

Agreed, only problem now is i wish with touchwiz they take the apple approach and try not to bloat the stuffing out of it, i feel like it has the potential of running a hell of a lot smoother. They are learning though, it will probably be a few more releases before they are actually there.

Well, they need to do 2 things, one they need to really optimize touchwiz to let the hardware really shine, and two they need to start supporting their devices better. There's no reason the Note 4 couldn't do themes or lockscreen notes or even high dpi mode the way the Note 5 does, and I'm sure in a year even though my note 5's hardware will still be top notch they're not going to bring the next version of touchwiz to it. Even though I'll probably just upgrade it still bothers me that they do this.

True, but depending on how bad the note 5 performs from a sales perspective it might limit your options next year if Samsung decides to limit note 6 sales to South Korea or if they decide to cancel the note 6 completely.

Sales are so bad they are affecting Samsungs other divisions, such as Samsung displays. I recently read that sales of the note 5 were so meek that Samsung cut the prices of their amoled displays and are now offering them to competitors. Not like in the past when they offer their competitors/customers last years amoled displays, this year Samsung is offering up current generation amoled display at a discount.

Yay for consumers in the short term, bad for consumers in the long term.

I wouldnt touch samsung for a long time due to their optimization, till the note 4 it looks like it was toned down a bit. But coming from a Nexus or even an iPhone you can still see the handful of imperfections.

I really love the spen, although it is something i will miss for short term, and the damn display is what is keeping me grounded from even thinking about the 6s+. If it is true the nexus 6p has the same samsung panel and their battery life is not as crappy as last years nexus model. I will jump ship.

Which right now i am thinking about driving the 6s+ till the nexus, then getting rid of it after i get a hold of a nexus.

I just like refresh all around from year to year even if i really like a device i get tired of starring at the same thing.

Lol, you knew all this yet you came and you asked how are the Note5 sales here, haha, wow.

If they bring the Note6 with no MicroSD, then they may as well limit it to S.Korea, the Note5's lack of it stopped many of us from buying it.

BTW, Note5 has arrived down here in South Africa a whole month earlier than it should have, and there was a trending Note5 hashtag on Twitter to bring it to UK to, so the Note6 may see a wider release, the consumers have spoken. Same thing happened with Note Edge locally, loads of demand for it down here, it arrived 2months than it was scheduled.

Lets wait and see when the Note6 actually arrives...

These look great. The thing is Samsung have nailed certain things e.g. Camera, Display, Memory, SoC etc... They are brilliant at them.

The Note5 mostly carries hardware and SW that was developed in late 2014 for the S6 and S6 Edge for early 2015, the Note5 is ultimately much older than its competitors e.g. 6S Plus and so on, but is still up there with the very latest and most up to date.

Even the Exynos7420 is a much older SoC than the Apple A9 as this year Samsung heavily recycled S6 hardware, the 7420 was done late last year, and is a Exynos 5433 (found in the Note 4 Exynos N910C and N910H in 2014) on 14nm, thats really it.

Consider the above and the Note5 is actually achieving much more than it technically should, as most of it is last year's top end hardware, Samsung truly held back on us in 2015, and it just shows how far they are. I hate how they have held back, but focussed so heavily on design.

I hope they have learnt their lesson and next year must focus on top hardware and sleek software.

Meh, asking the AT&T Store I went to and they said the new S6's and Notes are selling very well. iPhones fly off the shelf still but they were pretty busy on the Samsung side as well.

I just came back from a night game of baseball inside a box seat section where I took tons of pics of customers and friends and the Note 5 was the hit of everyone who was taking shots and comparing. I'm not going to post up pics of comparisons given the nature of the event being business related but FWIW, the Note 5 was spectacular with and without flash. Those using iPhone 6's and 6+ units were not having anywhere near the success at nailing great shots.

I've heard more talk about the flash units on the iPhones and honestly I was intrigued by the dual color flash until I began using my Note 5 for small groups of 2-6 people with the flash on. The Note 5 overall nailed the shots with far far better exposure and tones on the images. Hands down Samsung just replaced most all but the higher end P&S Cameras out there and hands down is producing better images than the iPhone.

I'll see if there are any that I can post.

So I was pretty much set on get an S6 Edge+ on Giffgaff, then I actually considered eGlobal. The prices have gone down quite a bit, which is one thing, but they have so much more choice there. I mean, I can get the Note 5 there, which I might actually do. The S Pen means basically nothing to me, but I actually think that the curved back might be a deal breaker for me. Plus, it is a bit cheaper, by £64.
People who orders from eGlobal, like MRU or apolloa, is it reliable? I mean, in terms of customer service and delivery?

Yep very reliable. Never had a hassle. Just ordered a Sony Alpha A7s body for €1792 so clearly have plenty of faith in them :)

Question, if I'm using Nova launcher, do I Iose functionality on TW weather widget on the Lockscreen as well?

My lockscreen weather widget doesn't seem to be updating.

No I've tried to do that myself and put simple weather but there's no way to do so.
This a perfect example of TW ruining the user experience.

Edit: so I think I figured it out; I had the weather daemon disabled.

So I went from an iPhone 6+ to the Note 5. I really do love the screen though I believe this thing runs a little hot at times. Only thing I dislike so far is when I wear polarized sunglasses (prescription) the screen has a funny look to it that the iPhone did not have.

Overall the phone feels good and is fast as any phone out there. Images taken by the camera are solid as well. Very well done by Samsung.
