It looks pretty bad, Samsung doesn't look like it wants to disclose any current numbers.
The only numbers Samsung has released so far were 10,000 units in the US and under 75,000 units in Korea. The Korean figure included s6 edge plus units.

Thats a real bummer if true where do you get the news of the sales numbers any links ? Also bad because I am looking foward to the GEAR VR aspect of the Note 5.

I happen to think the Note 5 is the best Phone on the Market Period having used and seen just about everything.

I was very happy with my Purchase then again Samsung really made an effort to win me over.

I was part of the Test Drive program. I happen to be out of contract and Sprint had the TRADE IN ANY smartphone and get a Note 5 for $249 -$200 so I traded in an Old Blackberry 9930 and paid $50 for my Note 5 yes renewing my 2 year contract.
Since I was of the Samsung Test Drive I qualified for their $200 deal if I really buy a Note 5 and can prove it. I did and Got $100 check and $100 Google PLAY store credit.
And last but not least I have my 16GB iPhone 6 I sold for $420. So thats $620 -$50 = $570 profit for switching to a Note 5

One thing I hope they fixed on yhe note 5 is the dialer lag sometimes when trying to call it takes a while to register or when clicking a number from maps it hangs for a second.

Samsung didn't make an effort, they are really desperate, hence why they have the test drive deal in the us, to try and move inventory. They also have a deal where they will pay your monthly carrier installments into 2016, if you purchase one of thier flagship phones. Poor sales of the S6 and its variants were blamed for the 38 per cent drop in profits the company saw in its Q2 earnings.

Personally For vr, I will wait for the 4K or 8k displays. The more pixels the better.

You won't be making a profit when you decide to resell it. Samsung phone don't hold their value compared to iPhones.

Enjoy your device.

So I went from an iPhone 6+ to the Note 5. I really do love the screen though I believe this thing runs a little hot at times. Only thing I dislike so far is when I wear polarized sunglasses (prescription) the screen has a funny look to it that the iPhone did not have.

Overall the phone feels good and is fast as any phone out there. Images taken by the camera are solid as well. Very well done by Samsung.

hmm...strange... I wear polarized shades too and the screen looks just fine to me..although I know what you're saying since I have exprienced that issue on an HTC device I had..

Whats weird is it is only an issue on the home screen, when watching a video it is fine it seems. I am wearing prescription Oakley sunglasses

I assume because one is in portrait and the other landscape. It happens to me on devices wearing polarised 3d glasses that dependent on orientation will affect visibility.

Have you tried a different wallpaper perhaps ? Or, turning perspective off ?

I, too, have Rx Oakleys..

So when I have it in Portrait mode I notice it, when I have it in landscape mode it is fine. I have tried different wallpapers. It isnt a huge deal just thought I would mention it for anyone that is wondering :)

I have seen a few iPhone 6S Plus's in the wild lately, with clients of mine.

And man, for some reason that phone looks so large, and just huge in the hands of other people. And then I look at my Note 5, and it doesn't seem nearly as big, even though it does have a larger screen. Why does the iPhone 6 Plus look so giant compared to my Note 5 in real life ?

Look at those enormous bezels, makes the iPhones look like if they are from the 80's..

Samsung are good at keeping their bezels thin.

For Apple I guess their signature round home button doesn't help. They would have no where to place it if they reduced the bezel. They definitely need to reduce for the iphone 7.

As for weight, the heavier 6S makes it feel more premium than the 6. I prefer the heavier weight. The Sony Z3+/Z4 felt cheap compared to the Z3 due to its weight reduction. It felt plastic despite being metal and glass.

After having my Note 5 for a month now, I have really come to like the captivate buttons as opposed to software nav keys on the Nexus 6 and OnePlus One and HTC One M8 phones I owned previously. And I typically love the software keys on Nexus phones, I have been a big fan of those.

But going to my back up OnePlus One, the soft nav keys take up so much space, you seem to lose a decent amount of screen real estate, compared to the Note 5, with no soft keys, it seems like you getting more usable screen, and a sleeker looking phone, with full screen.

Now I don't really care for the soft nav keys. I turned off the back light on my Cap keys on my Note 5, so they never glow, and it just seems right to me, and I like how they vibrate little when touched.

Yeah, last year all the phones I had used soft keys, but this year it's been all capacitive. I definitely prefer the capacitive, not only do you get more screen real estate, but the buttons are generally easier to touch.

My one gripe is sometimes you can accidentally activate them, I hope next year Samsung uses some form of 3D Touch for the capacitive buttons so they don't activate unless you press hard.

I stopped using Samsung's Messages, it just isn't that good IMO. It's not this ROM, it's any Samsung device, the stock Messages I find to be kind of lame.

I used to like Google Messenger, but actually the Pro version of Texta is just fantastic. Textra can be setup to look 100% exactly like stock Messages, with the same action and the way is alerts you, etc... But with a ton of customization options, for a million different colors, White background, Dark background, Deep Black background, and chat bubbles can each be set to any color you like. Plus even the LED Notification light can be altered to different colors, and it blinks more often than Messages, which I like a lot.

Textra IMO is the best. Plus it's rock solid as far as texting goes, it works in areas other text apps have a difficult time sending from., it seems stronger in the way it sends and receives.

This DarthSTALKER ROM v 2.0 + Arty97 Kernel 4.2 ( Not 5.0 ) is giving me sick battery life :)

I am getting like 6.5h Screen On time.

I checked it last night, was unplugged like 15 hours, with 4h 40m Screen On time, and still had 33% battery left.

5 reasons to pick the Galaxy Note 5 over the Huawei Nexus 6P
http://www.androidcentral.com/reasons-galaxy-note-5-better-nexus-6p

- S-Pen
- Multi Window apps and apps designed for Tablet sized screen
- Great camera and TW software is actually really good for the camera
- Wireless FAST charging
- Found at Carriers

Not that those reasons aren't useful, but most aren't for me. The phone is too small for the first two reasons, and I generally find wireless charging impractical.

My 5 reasons:
- More premium and comfortable feel (just my opinion)
- More software features, be it gimmick or not
- Better camera
- Gear VR support
- Better looking
