No the question is , is the phone t mobile branded. AKA is the t mobile logo on the back and does it have t mobile software like the ATT version.
Whoops! No T-mobile branding on the actual device. But I do get t-mobile splash screen and bloat; which I have disabled with EZ Disabler.

So a few hours later:

  • Lag is mostly gone. I guess now it's just the generic, usual TW stuff here and there.
  • Fingerprint scanner still not awesome.
  • Speaker - much louder than I anticipated! It's not a rich sounding speaker but this thing rocks it for conference calls.
Overall I'm still completely jazzed about this device. I'm curious if it keeps me from an iPhone 7 for the first couple of months.

Edit - so I removed my fingerprints and rescanned. I get waaaay too many error messages while setting up a print (you know, where it tells you to move your finger slightly with a red fingerprint graphic). I get this on 4 different fingers. I think my scanner is wonky. I would absolutely hate to have to exchange this over something like that. Crazy annoying.
I had the same problem setting up my prints. Scanner works for me okay though. I finally got the nerve to set up iris scanning. It works great even with my glasses on and so far no headaches.

I'm glad I went with AT&T and not T-Mobile. I've not had service on my iPad my entire car trip so far. I had only two dots of signal at home.

Anybody else tickled to find that Samsung included a SIM card tool? I got sick of using paper clips and it was a nice surprise to find this in the box and not have to go look for a paper clip

Isn't this the case with pretty much every phone? I can't recall a phone I've had in the recent years that didn't come with a SIM card tool. However, I'm not completely sure about the Lumias I got from work.

It is there. On my pic it's top left icon. I set it up but have not had a chance to use it.

I'm not sure what's considered a home screen on Android but it's on the third page of what I consider the home screen. Here is a picture of what mine looks like. I have not customized anything yet.

Ack I'm out in the middle of nowhere and just lost the signal. No Pokemon for me. And apparently no option to upload a file on two bars of 4G. Okay well I'll post without a pic and if you still can't find it let me know and I'll try and get the pic up later.

I haven't had one with my 6 Plus, 6S Plus or my IPhone SE. I can't remember about my 5s.

Hahah yup - Apple doesn't include them. Why would you EEEVEEEER need to take your sim out of an iPhone!? ;)

To be fair, the Samsung's tray isn't just for the SIM but also the microSD, something far more likely to have to be accessed with any regularity. The overwelming majority of consumers won't ever touch their SIM card, much less have a need to remove it. Pretty likely most people will be able to find a spare paper clip than have the removal tool nearby.

Oh wow, I recall having the tool with every iPhone I've bought. Is the packaging different over here compared to what's sold in the US?

Some carriers remove included box items. AT&T was know for removing the sim tray tool and earbuds of certain models. Not sure if they still do so.

I got my SE directly from the Apple Store and it didn't have one. I am not sure what's up with Apple these days.

My husband bought me the same model of Beats headphones that he has. His came with a charger. Mine did not. We looked all through the box but it was not in there nor was there any space where one might have been removed from. We compared boxes and there were slight differences. Beats Studio Pros I believe is the model. I just use his charger.

As for taking the Sim out, I switch between my iPhone SE and my 6S plus from time to time. I can make do with a paper clip of course, but the tool is nicer to use.

I just thought it was cool that the Note 7 came with so much. Free adapters for folks used to micro sub and connecting cables.

Did you happen to check if you have access to Samsung Cloud?
[doublepost=1471727019][/doublepost]Seems like my lag has been better today. Maybe because I'm not using it as much as yesterday. But now I'm noticing that the phone is EXTREMELY hot when it's charging and even for a little bit after it's charged. Anyone noticing anything similar?

I have not checked out samsung cloud on the ATT version yet ive been trying to sync my **** over from my iphone lol

OK thanks. I'm trying to figure out if AT&t even out Samsung Cloud on the device (Verizon didn't). Tried finding it on my brothers phone and couldn't

Yea that's unusual, coming direct from Apple.
The sim tool hasn't been included since the 4S in the US. That was about the time Verizon got it and then they started selling unlocked models. I think this was apple's concession to the carriers, that and delaying the availability of the unlocked model.

Thats a great offer. Does costco run those offers frequently? I really want to wait until sept before changing to anything

They are pretty good with deals. The other day I got a $57/month gym membership for 2 years/$600. Just get on their mailing list.

Quick update. Still Loving the phone.

The wireless charger has a loud fan and a bright blue light at night so I can't use that I might use it in other places though. Or I might take it back because fast charging wired is so quick.

The case that I recommended on here (NGP advanced) still looks great and feels great however, the sides are a little bit more loose than I would like. The Spigen rugged armor is thinner and keeps the rounded feel of the phone it also has the loose edges but not as bad. I don't feel safe dropping the phone in either of them. Not that you should ever feel safe dropping a phone. Im now looking into the CandyShell grip because I liked those in the past and now they have blacked out everything so it looks great. They also feel very sturdy and seem like they can take drops well.

Lastly, I still would prefer a completely flat screen I believe. The curves are much more subtle so I can ignore them for the most part and it's not a deal-breaker. But I still get a little annoyed by the distortion and touch points on the Curve. If I had a choice I would have a completely flat screen on the note 7.

Edit: really enjoying the s pen

I have 2 of the wireless chargers and the fans are silent on them. The light is bright, but one layer of electric tape over them and I can still see the light, but it's much less bright. I like them a lot, but I got them for $41.

Is the sharpening and post processing in the Camera improved over the S7?

That's really my only pet peeve with the S7's Camera as it means I have to shoot in raw and post process all my shots in LightRoom myself.

Just picked up a leather flip case from amazon for the wife, and a gold color glass screen protector for her, and a black one for me (covers the Samsung logo yayyyy). I installed my skinomi matte skin on the back this morning and looks great, will install the side pieces tonight.

Overall I'm happy with the phone. I'm not impressed with the battery life though. The Note 5 had fairly crappy battery life, and so far the Note 7 is a bit crappier, but I'll give it time to settle in and be optimized. I also noted a bit of lagginess here and there, I'm hoping it doesn't worsen as time goes on as it did with the Note 5.

I still think it's grossly overpriced and would never pay full price for one. But getting it for almost half price due to the BOGO works for me.

Took my daughter to the aquarium today and got to test out the camera. It opens up lightning fasts, VERY cool for getting those quick shots in a crowded area with a fast moving 4 year old. Pics look nice at first glance, but I haven't scrutinized them well. Low light performance was better than my Note 5, but that's not saying much, but still very good.

One thing that I LOVE LOVE LOVE is that on my Verizon model there is a quick shortcut in the pulldown for tethering that WORKS!!! I was sick and tired of AT&T taking that shortcut off and making tethering a convoluted process to turn on/off for no good reason.
[doublepost=1471740370][/doublepost]One thing I finally was able to do was take my wife off of her iPhone after years. She finally realized that hunting through pages of similar looking icons was not productive. Today I introduced her to widgets and she was completely floored at the functionality. She's very excited and loves the Note 7, more than I love mine which was unexpected.

I could have sworn later models included them. Maybe I just used one I already had. Good to know.

On your comment on the phone with the fingerprint scanner not registering a good amount of times. I was very concerned with this as it was not working well on the note 5

I love the fingerprint scanners but I haven't had a good one since the iPhone 5s. That sucks to hear. Let me know if you do get another one and the fingerprint does improve.
The fingerprint sensor works great for me it's not as fast as the iPhone obviously but it's very reliable. I actually like that I can see my lock screen again so that I can manage notifications right from there instead of getting right past it with the fingerprint sensor on the iPhone

I've always had sim ejector tools with my iPhones. Buried in the box in the paperwork I thought.

EDIT: nevermind. wasn't in my iPhone 6s box or iPhone 6 box. But I have a few of them sitting with my sim adapter kits that I always use while sim swapping, so I haven't had to use the ones out of the iPhone box in a while

The way it works for Apple with the Sim Removal tool is that they include it for the "Unlocked" iPhone models ONLY.

The carrier models do not come with it because they have a sim included in the Sim tray but the unlocked models DO NOT come with any Sim hence why they include the removal device for the unlocked models.
