It's never about the fallacious NEED 'we try to sell to ourselves'... in the end it always boils down to the WANT :) ;)
Yeah, but we still have the need to justify ourselves, especially if we have a significant other.

Do you mean it has the ability to gain root access ? In what way does it change your outlook ?

+1 on MRU's question..?

Put another way: TELL ME WHY I NEED TO RUN OUT AND BUY ANOTHER PHONE BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO RUN OUT AND BUY ANOTHER PHONE!

Lol yeah pretty much, I'm already weaseling a way to convince myself another phone is good for me. Man I really miss the Note 7 and I'm getting jealous seeing you guys say it may run smoothly now, although I hope that's not just a fresh phone talking. Yeah the root definitely pushes me a little, I can reverse some of the damage Verizon did to it, restore the original settings, and finally install Xposed again.

I swear I'm not lying, I'm really really trying to like the iPhone. Really. Seriously.

Just called my local store (Miami) and they have the replacements. However, they don't have the onyx black, only coral blue and silver. What to do, what to do!?

Well for anyone trying to decide to buy a Note7, wait sbout three weeks for the rest of us to develop any problems because according to Android Central posts that's about how long it took for some people to develop problems with such things as touch screen responsiveness and boot loop problems in non snapdragon models.

Folks there are busy checking out their replacements. So far they (and I) have noticed our S-pens stick a bit and some have the little s pen buttons rattling or loose. Mine was giving a bit of extra resistance earlier but has become more smooth.

If you have not yet exchanged your Note see if you can get away with keeping your S pen. Just don't pack it in when you make the return. The carriers dont seem to care. But bring it with you just in case. Everyone seems to run into different exchange issues.

I think my Note 7 is so evil. I had a lot of laundry to do today but I slacked and downloaded some games and other apps instead. My iPhones are work horses but Google, Amazon and Samsung know how to suck you into content consumption. With my iPhones I keep my app list very spare and functional.

This screen is too darned beautiful.

.

Yeah with a supposed October 21st being banded around for European release now, it at least still allows a month to watch and see if anything else crops up. Hopefully not, Samsung and potential customers don't need any more stumbling blocks.

Do you happen to own the coral blue? I wonder how it compares to the onyx black.

Today, I went to a T-Mobile store and they were out of replacements. The rep said that a nearby store got way more than this store and told me to go there. Well, I decided to call first. As luck would have it, they were out, as well. I ended up calling 5 stores and all were out. Hopefully, by Fri, I get my replacement?

I'm at the store but don't love the blue and it's the only one they have :(.
Unlike an iPhone it's not easy to cover up a color you don't love. The blue bezel will be in your face every day unless you manage to get a case that covers them. Like an otter box or something.

Having had a gold S7 and now the Blue note I can at least say the blue bezel aren't as annoyingly reflective as Silver or gold can be. The sides are a dusty rose gold (more gold than rose as you can see for yourself now.

Good luck to everyone who is going in for their exchange.

Just left the store empty handed. Wasn't sold on the blue--I'll continue to be patient.
Wise decision. The Note 7 is going to have to prove itself all over again. You don't want an unwanted color choice holding you back from being won over again.

Just got my Note 7 replacement in blue. Took driving to 3 different T-mobile stores to find one, and it was the last one. Most of the T-mobile stores stated they will get another shipment in next week.

I like the blue, but I did like the black one the best. The manager also gave me a wireless charging back case for free, cause it took over 2 hours to do the replacement process
[doublepost=1474501949][/doublepost]BTW .... I kept all the included accessories, even the S-Pen.

I wish I had kept the headphones and the S pen. I never tried the Samsung headphones until yesterday. I was expecting them to be as mediocre as iPhone headphones but they really are quite good, for included accessories. And they even come with spare ear covers.

It's nice touches like these little extras that make me wish Samsung gets its customer service and quality control up to par, because they could really be a proper rival to Apple if they did. I think sometimes I can't help but see Apple stripping down the accessories and feeling a bit chagrined. I am glad they at least include the lightning to 3.5 adaptors with the iPhone 7.

I really need to get over the headphone jack removal. Now someone told me now HTC is going to be releasing a model without a headphone jack. Sigh.

Well, I'm assuming the 404 MB update couldn't be just for an icon color change ;)

Something has been altered and the device is smoother, imo.

What's the month of security patch? I'm still restoring mines from Samsun Cloud(which takes forever), so I can't update just yet.

Im in the same boat here. Just came hoe tonite with a 7+ (Rose Gold that is my wife's I stole it for a few days) and while there is a noticeable improvement in the camera its still boring old (but stable and seamless with other Apple products) iOS. I miss the Note. Just read that AT&T is selling them again and given that I'll be sitting out the 7+ (having the video hiss issues which is a complete deal breaker and just now starting to gain traction) I am probably in the market for a new phone again. I just really miss the Note 7.

Did you want an extra set of these headphones ?

Well, returned my Moto Z Play (love the battery life) hesitantly to Verizon and picked up the blue Note 7 again. I like the blue a lot and it's unique.

Is it just me or the charger that comes with the Note 7 is NOT fast charging the phone. It's taking about 1.5 hours to charge to full. My Moto Z Play only takes about 50 min or so.

My experience on my AT&T Note 7 was that fast charging with the included charger took 1.5 hours from basically 0 to full. Third party "fast" chargers (Aukey brand) took like 2.5 hours

Also, this replacement Note 7 does run a bit warm, while the original always stayed cool.. This goes for both replacements (blue and black)
