I have both my replacement Note 7 and 7 + on TMO and I think they both get the same reception from what I can see.

Did you get the Blue coral version as a replacement or did you go for the black onyx N7 in the end ?

Friend offered me a 128gb iPhone 7 as a trade in with my 6S and to my own surprise I actually said no. Just haven't got the urge at all to get the 7 or 7+ and normally I renege fairly easily and give in to temptation, but not so this time.

So just another app update since may be interested. This one is called Samsung Focus. If your familiar with Blackberry Hub, this is pretty much Samsung's version. Personally I don't like all my notifications in one place, but you may find it useful. It's in the playstore.

Was this a strait up trade? Or would you have to pay a difference?

Yeah I installed this when the apk leaked. It's good but it needs work. At the moment it doesn't feel confident enough to replace the stock Samsung email client, and it's a shame it can't just integrate and pick up those accounts already on the device rather than requiring them to be set up separately.

It's one to watch though and maybe where Samsung end up taking email and calendar ...

I would have to pay the difference in value so €350-400 ... which still feels way too much for the differences the 7 offers over the 6S. I have no problem paying the difference had it felt like I was getting €350-400 worth of an upgrade, but just don't feel it is for me.

Ahh, a little more understandable, in your original post it almost sounded as though it was a strait up trade? At what price point do you think it's worth it? Mine was at $250.

I was able to get the blue as a replacement. I got a big software update from TMO during my first setup. It was about 400MB. It has made a world of difference. The N7 is so much faster and responsive. My battery life is around 6 hours SOT consistently.
My 7+ is very awesome as well. Loving the water proofing! I can take it hiking and fishing without worrying about it getting wet. The camera impresses as well. Here is a sample from hiking yesterday

But you might like the 7+ with the camera improvements. I haven't noticed my 7+ being any faster than my 6s+. But for me it is worth the upgrade.

Yeah, but then I have to think there was a reason I went from the 6S+ down to the 6S as I prefer the more smaller portable size. If the regular 7 had got the dual camera then I likely would upgrade. The 7+ would mean I'd have to pay even more so €500-550 on top of my 6S and when you consider by December the likes of the N7 will likely be €550-600 on eGlobalCentral it makes it that harder to justify.

I think this year the price increase and incremental changes are posing too much of a barrier for me as it stands.

Is it possible that 400mb update was mostly for carrier apps in USA? In Canada the most recent update was 40 mb.

I doubt it since the carrier apps are available in the app store and get updates that way, so no need to bundle them with the update.

The update wasn't app updates it was to get the green battery icon and software optimizations and improvements. It has made a world of difference for me on T-Mobile.

Have they said why there was such a large price increase over there? The plus models only went up by $20 over here.

I guess the official explanation is exchange rates. Or maybe they just hate Europeans Anyway, iPhones over here have gone up around 100-140e since the iPhone 6, which wasn't exactly cheap to begin with.
I always hate that excuse, since they only use it one way. Price goes up it's because the dollar is up, but when the dollar is down they don't lower the price.

I am confused as to whether to get the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus or the 128 gigs Jet Black iPhone 7.I dont want to spend more on the 128GB Plus variant as I am getting the iPhone 8 just for the OLED display next year.

If you not loading a ton of your own media, then just get the 32gb.

To have the iPhone 7 it would have cost me £200 more over the course of 2 years compared to my previous iPhone and the 6S which I ended up with. I'm losing interest with having the latest and greatest and the 6S is cheap while being good enough for me. Lots of people in the UK are blaming Brexit but our economy is on the up since June. I think it's more likely manufacturers and carriers cashing in. Well they didn't sting me! ;)

Yeah except I am just a little worried whether I would be able to handle that massive size lol.The smaller phone does have the Jet Black which attracts me.Although considering my OCD with scratches I will probably buy the Plus variant for the better display and dual cameras.

No expandable storage so I'd go with the larger internal storage but when it comes to resale value Plus size has more demand than larger storage size.
