Shouldn't I be getting this update though? Forgot how android/samsung updates work. Are they randomly pushed to you or is it like APple when they release an update you just go into software updates and it's there?

Edit: Changed the date manually and that seemed to do the trick! I guess because the first time I checked I didn't have a sim in it was waiting 24 hours to check again. Thanks spine..

Yeah you should be. Samsung kiosks in BB used to be able to update the phones manually, not sure if they can still do that. Possibly AT&T can also do this.

Worst case you can easily update the phone through Samsung kies, or IMO an easier way is through Odin. You download the firmware and simply flash it.

When you first set up your Note, it'll give you options to do this. The app to do this is called Samsung Switch, and it's pre-installed on the Note. No data connection needed.

Yep, used the cable and got everything transferred. Painless!

IMO the iPhone 7 is cheap, the Taptic feeling is horrible, and the way the entire thing vibrates hen the speakers are turned up is awful. The top speaker is poor quality too on it's own.

Your opinion is so noted. Of all the complaints about Apple's products, "cheap" isn't usually something reasonable. And as someone who uses it every day, I can say the taptic engine is phenomenal. They manage to make you feel like you're actually clicking a button. Speakers are excellent, I use my phone for conference calls a great deal.

How long have you had your iPhone 7 for?

Are you making the switch from an iPhone 7?

I did. I sent the IP7 back and got the Note 7.
[doublepost=1475102763][/doublepost]Anyone know how to organize your pictures in the gallery? When it transferred them, they all got disorganized. I need them by date.

A few hours into playing with the device and I seriously love it. Who knows if I'll stick with it or go back to the iPhone but man this is just a great phone and so much more fun and functional than my iPhone (6S+ and 7+). I haven't installed many apps or tweaks yet really just Nova Launcher and Google keyboard but I've had 0 lag and the phone definitely feels faster. Not a placebo effect either as I had major lag issues out of the box with my launch day Note.

Was it the regular iP7 or was it a +? Just curious to hear your thoughts on the difference when compared to the Note.

The plus. I had the 6s plus for a while now, and when I got that, I wasn't impressed enough. I also didn't like the fact it was buzzing/popping just sitting on my desk. So far setting up the Note, yea, the screen is a huge difference, no doubt the Note has a better screen. I haven't had enough time to use it though otherwise.

Does it show them all taken today or is there no date at all?

Dates and names are correct. Not sure what is wrong.
Huh, thats weird. Mine has them sorted by date automatically and there's no way to change it that i can see. Are you using the stock Samsung gallery app?

Ok, then what you might have to do is offload all your picture from your iPhone to you computer and then copy them to your Note.

Better yet, use Google photos. Just download the app on your iPhone and let it upload all your stuff to the cloud, then they should be available on your Note. Google photos should be preloaded on the note, but if it's not just get it from thw store.

For music, as long as it's drm free, I use isyncr, just search for it in the app store and get the companion pc app and that will allow you to sync your music files.

As for movies, if they were purchased through iTunes, there really isn't a way to do it that I have found. What you might be able to do is link your iTunes account to a disney account and it will make all disney movies in you itunes library available to stream in their disney movies app. And then you can link your google account to it and stream them there too. Im not sure if other movie studios offer the same service, but you could try.

The Note 7 can play iTunes formatted video files. I just transfer the movies onto my SD card from my iMac and do it that way. As for music, I use the standard Smart Switch app (From iPhone backup on my iMac) which allows me to select which playlists I want to sync.

May not sound straight forward with how I've explained it, but it really is.

^ All good advice. I used to use iSyncr as well but once Google Play Music was introduced, I just link that to my iTunes Library and uploaded the entire thing there. If I do happen to purchase new music via iTunes, it automatically uploads. This way I don't worry about having to download my music locally to any new devices. On the off chance that I need music and will not have data access, I can download it locally to my phone.

Also good advice regarding the Disney movies. Even though I have been primarily using Apple hardware for the past 8-9 years, I generally won't purchse any video content from iTunes or any online providers specifically due to each's DRM. It's a bit more labor intensive but I still purchase blu ray disks and make myself a digital copy that can be viewed on any of my hardware. Thankfully, Disney Movies Anywhere reduces that workload a bit since if you purchase through them (or one of their blu rays), it entitles you to access any of that movie on nearly any of the big digital providers (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Microsoft, Vudu). Really wish all the movie studios would do the same but I'm not holding my breath.

Woohoo, I didn't realize there was a Gear VR promo for the S7/S7 edge, I plugged in my Note7 and they approved it. Check it out on Samsung Promotions.
