All I know is that this thing can't get here soon enough. I called my carrier about my pre-order, and I was told it looks like they might not have enough supply to go out on release day. How nice.
I'm not sure what the circumstances were that both devices were tested under, and neither do you. If you tested two display models against each other, it would be apparent that the Note would run faster simply from the fact that it's a much newer device that was just put out days ago vs an S7 display model that could have been out there for weeks, maybe even months. They both have the exact same insides. No way there's much of a difference. Note UI might be a bit cleaner version of TW, that might account for a bit more fluid animations.
If you ask this question, you should definitely stay with the build in TW launcher![]()
What carrier are you with? I plan on picking mine up at AT&T Store on Friday morning... I'm just hoping I won't run into trouble getting one..
Rogers should be safe, they charge 100$ more for the same device!I'm in Canada, with Bell Mobility. Samsung Canada recently said Pre-orders for the Note 7 in Canada have been very strong. My carrier's statement about possible supply issues seems to support that. You guys in the US are probably safe from supply issues.

Sweet! CongratsI got my shipping update! Delivery expected tomorrow!
Samsung's own unboxing reminds me why I went black. Love that full stealth black look.
If Verizon blocks the use of Samsung cloud then I'm out. I will NOT be forced to use Verizon's cloud.

Sorry but I tested non-display models. Test, valid.
So....not who you replied to and apologize for that. But I talked to a Samsung rep at a Samsung Experience store who had a Note 7 on him. I asked to see it and he let me play around with it for a few minutes. I compared it to my S7 edge i had on me. I used them side by side. The Note 7 seemed faster to me...more responsive. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.....How did you test a non-display model of a Note? What were the details of both models, their usage history? You really want to make an argument that whatever Note model you had wasn't brand new vs the S7 Edge? Both were direct out of the box?

Finally the headphones are black. While I have no use for wired headphones, I've been sick of white headphones for years now.
I envy you. I don't have a choice. My shop supply me with a Cell phone. If I choose the model, I pay the acquisition cost and they pay the monthly bill. The contract is not even with my name. I can't go with another carrier. The Bell rep actually knocked $100 off each phone for me. Then gave me $200 credit I could use in their store.

It is funny how before the Note 7 was revealed a lot of people(in general not just here) where like meh, no big deal ect and now it is full hype mode!
This seems like the ultimate cold weather phone, not only does it have the iris scanner, but the spen could be used to navigate and it's water proof, so you don't have to take off your gloves or worry about snow melting on it.Pocketnow seem very impressed with the iris scanner and think it's not a gimmick. So quick and ideal in many situations
I think it is pretty darn close test myself. My S7 edge isn't that old and it had a fresh reboot so the cache and background apps were all fresh. The internals of both devices is really close as well. The two phones are only a few months apart with very similar specs. My S7 edge didn't all of a sudden age and slow down. It still has current smartphone specs. I think Samsung has optimised TW and the N7.I'm sure it did. But again: you were comparing a brand new device to something you've been using for a period of time. I don't know how that's a legitimate test. I have a GS7E as well. I've played with the Note in the store. The new device, the Note, *seemed* a bit faster. I've also had my GS7E since launch. Not a 1:1 test..
for the iris scanner to work, I think you still have to swipe up first. This seems like the ultimate cold weather phone, not only does it have the iris scanner, but the spen could be used to navigate and it's water proof, so you don't have to take off your gloves or worry about snow melting on it.
