Was thinking of canceling my ATT order and going over to Verizon, but my wife's new corp job raised our discount from 11% to 21% and 25% off accessories. Guess I'm stuck with ATT for a bit longer. Order still "preparing to ship" though.

What is everyone doing for fast wireless charging? I almost made the mistake of buying a spigen wireless charger but realized it wasn't fast and cancelled. Suggestions please? The Samsung official one is just so pricey

Hmm..strangely mine still shows a delivery date of *today*, but tracking says ' Order Processed : Ready for UPS '. No movement since Saturday!

I went to Best Buy to preorder since doing that over the website only gives you the large-band GearFit for free with the other options listed as in-store only. The guy was all excited until I told him I wanted to buy the phone outright, at which point he informed me that Best Buy had no way to preorder non-contract phones and that I would just have to hope there was inventory left on Friday. Got to love BB.

I'm going to eat the cost of the Samsung one, although I'll bet they will have Samsung Pay promos for it like with the Note 5. Every time I use a non Samsung wireless charger my phone gets very hot and it makes me nervous. The Samsung one has a fan (hopefully it's not loud) so it will keep my phone nice and cool.

you looked on amazon? normally far cheaper on there.

My wife wants a case for hers, she's thinking something that flips shut. The official Samsung stuff looks very nice. I was thinking the S View Folding Case, but that Clear View Cover looks very nice as well and maybe thinner. Anyone else considering a flip cover case?

S view cover is a great option and worth the extra money IMO. Makes it even better now you can use it as a stand.

i will wait till it comes on amazon though as where they sell it here..mobile fun it costs quite abit.

Which carrier are you with? You should be able to order with their upgrade plans and just payoff the balance once you have your phone.

If your looking for unlocked, don't think those will be available anywhere in the US for a couple of months.

It's almost time
You're first in line, so be ready to pre-order
The Galaxy Note7 is almost here and from tomorrow, 16th August, you can be one of the first people to pre-order it from 6am. The first 1000 people to pre-order will receive a Gear VR*. You can also join our upgrade programme^, with more details available on our website. And we've introduced Samsung Mobile Care± for just £99, covering accidental damage, theft cover and giving you extra peace of mind

Good job I finish work at 7am

40 something vs $60 at the store. But it's back ordered for months. And I still thought they was pricey. Maybe that's the normal price. I wasn't sure if there were any competing fast wireless charging brands.

Good to know. Maybe I'll go official.

Word is Carphone Warehouse have stopped offering the VR with sim free Note 7's as of 6pm today. I hope that means those of us who have already ordered still get them

That is poor when on their website pre order isn't even live yet.

It's why i'm ordering from samsung directly as they have promised a free VR. Carphone warehouse don't seem to know what they are doing.

Is there a way I could get the Note 7 price down to say $600-$650 considering the goodies they give (which I can sell) plus using a T-Mobile student discount?

I think it depends on what you can sell the freebies for... I have a feeling eBay, etc. will be flooded with the freebies thus driving their price down somewhat.

So a 256GB SD card would be worth like $80 at best? I saw the Gear VR drop by 25% in MSRP rate by S7 launch.

yeah, I'm not sure to be honest. What I'm saying is that I doubt many people can get MSRP or close to that on all these freebie items because there will be a ton of them on re-seller websites. I'm sure Swappa will see a ton of Gear Fit 2's!

Yeah it's how I ended up getting a brand new gear VR with postage for €50 ... the VR2 has the disadvantage of being only compatible with Note 7 so it's potential audience on resale is less, meaning it's value will be less.
