Forget using me as a role model ....

I succumbed.

I'm €800 lighter and a blue coral Note 7 will be here at the end of the month beginning of next ...........

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Haha

You lasted well

Problem is threads like this people have to avoid to not be tempted. Seeing reviews makes it hard to resist

Hmmmm the struggle of trying to decide if I want to pre-order the Note 7 or not. I dont have a device on my other line right now...hmmmm. I wonder how preordering now works since im late...

PSA: Don't forget to install Package Disabler Pro for your newly minted Note 7 devices that have carrier bloatware.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro&hl=en

Worth every penny and very easy to use. Go through the list, disable things you are sure you don't want, and you're done. You never have to open the app again if you don't want to.

Even easier if you download other people's saved list. The app lets you upload saved lists so if you don't want to go through everything yourself, you can just do that, too.

Just kidding, we've all been there, that's how I wound up with the S6 and S7 Edge. Almost made it. At least now you get the 256gb sd card along with the gear vr.

Btw, which is the 4th device you have now? I know you got the HTC 10, S7, and iPhone. I will have 5 as well, the 6S Plus, 5S, HTC M8, S7, and now Note 7.

Every day I dread coming in here and seeing: "Got My Note7 blah blah blah I'm a big showoff" jokes

Watched some reviews today, my only concern is that battery life seems rather average, but with that said all of them are of the Snapdragon 820 variant, but we are getting Exynos8890 down here which GSMArena found to have better battery life, so I'll wait for a review of it.

My worry is that it should be getting exceptional battery life with such a large battery.
Hmmm.... I'll wait to see the early adopters thoughts.

Touchwiz really looks cleaned up a bit. I havent ran android in while but I do have a work S6 and I swear it seems its running smooth these days. I want to try the Note 7 out but I keep thinking about the longevity of Touchwiz on the note7? Will it slow down like it has always done. That's my only concern.

Battery life and false touches are my concerns.
It better get as good or better battery life than my S7 edge. It should not have the false touches issue i get on my S7 edge....to borrow a phrase from @MRU...... I don't want to have to do "hand gymnastics" to use the damn thing.

My S7E is operating the same as day one (faster, actually, since the MM update).

Many of TouchWiz's concerns are yesteryears' problems; they simply don't exist anymore. TouchWiz on top of Marshmallow is the best pairing I've ever experienced. You get all the useful software features of TW married on top of the speed and stability of MM. It's a winning combo.

Should be even better and more feature-rich once you get Android N (whenever that might be!). And the Grace UX is even cleaner than what was on the S7E.

I can't say for sure, but I think you're safe.

Yeah thats what I have experienced with my S6. Im on it everyday and I have been pretty amazed by how it performs. Might pre-order the N7 on my second line...decisions decisions.

Tough call on the Note 7. ;) It's a beauty of a device in more ways than one.

Regarding the S6... I had the S6 too until I upgraded to the S7E earlier this year, and I can tell you, even going from the S6 -- as smooth and good as TouchWiz was on that -- the software improvements were noticeable. I can only imagine it's even greater from S6 to the Note 7 Grace UX!

To be fair, I get false palm touches on flat screen devices, too, when they're too large. I've handled, for example, the Note 5 before, and the Nexus 6, and the 6P and with all those devices, I experienced some false palm touches.

I think with the slightly wider Note 7 (versus the S7E) and the improved edge screens, false touches will be cut down even more. It's a small but very noticeable difference in edge screens between S7E and the Note 7.

Novel technology takes learning curve (I rarely get false touches now because after months of using it, I've learned how to handle the phone). Either way, with each iteration, it'll get better and better. :)

It will last you all day pretty much. Think it's on par with all flagships.

Like anything it's how you use it and the signal you have. With good power saving mode I don't think people will need to worry

Still in preparing to ship stage, if I'm to get it tomorrow, it needs to ship by the end of day today. Getting antsy.

S7, HTC10, SE, 6S ;).

Sadly no 256gb freebies here. Just the GearVR

Yep ... That's my concern too and hope its been resolved with better palm rejection. If it has, happy days ...

@Tsepz

On top of what Game161 has said, I would also add, if you invest in a few wireless chargers, and put them in different rooms, at work, etc., you can effectively "top off" your device throughout the day. That's what I do. I have three wireless chargers collected over the years (I wait for good discounts/sales/promos) and they're all placed in strategic locations. One on the nightstand next to my bed, one in my office at home, and one in my office at work. Anytime I'm laying down my device, I lay it on the wireless charger. Why not, right? So it's always topping off.

I can literally leave work after a full day, and be at 100%. All without ever dealing with a wire; all from just setting my phone down which is what I'd be doing anyway. Instead of setting it down on the table, I set it down on the charger.

This is what anti-wireless charging people don't understand. It isn't so much about "not dealing with a wire" (though that is nice), it's more about just always topping off your device whenever you set it down. It's a luxury and convenience.

I never worry about battery life anymore or check SOT or anything. I simply don't have to.
