I looked at the S4 today and the screen looks bad to me on the default settings. Those colors are yucky. Movie mode looks just as good as IPS to me, with the added benefit of having true blacks.

I thought it felt great in my hand. I disagree with the reviews saying the build feels cheap.

The S4 was very laggy. Every single app I opened hesitated before launching. Several times I tapped an icon twice before the app would launch, because I thought it didn't register my tap, and then I could tell it was dropping frames when launching the apps.

I still prefer stock Android over TouchWiz. I don't like anything at all about the UI, and replacing the launcher isn't enough to fix the things I dislike about it. It still looks like an ugly adaptation of Gingerbread.

I might just try the Nexus 4 again to hold me over until the Nexus 5. I looked at the One but I found the button placement for home, volume, and power annoying enough to skip it.

Been in a B&N location for the past hour or so and have not experienced any lag at all opening apps. Guess we need to see more experiences.

Browsing on their attwifi is very fast and I watched a few trailers and some of True Grit streamed from netflix which is one available in HD. Liked very much what I have seen so far, I have not felt the need to change from default color settings.

It is early and lots more I want to try along the lines of what I will do with the S4. So far I am quite happy. I could have gone for the One but I had a Rezound. The stock battery was too small, I wanted a bigger screen this go round more than 4.7 on the One, and I am not thrilled with Sense to tell the truth.

I have had the s4 since yesterday. I have some transition lag but I am going to play around with the settings.

I do stutter on Google Chrome but what is weird is it seems to happen more on sites with vbulletin forums like this one and another one I go on.

Guys which browser do you guys use that is best for the s4 do you think?

Anybody use the one that comes with the phone?

Are there two different chromes?

Yep. Chrome is slightly older version. Chrome beta has full screen support whereas stock Chrome doesn't. Silly I know, and the big BETA label on the chrome beta icon is really quite ugly too.

Great video, unbiased and fair.

Samsung V HTC from people on the streets (or park in this case).

It's even Steven's from a general public perspective.

Thanks for that

Think chrome beta is what I will use then.

Delayed. Bell did give me $50 credit because I pre-ordered it.

Like the Note 2, Samsung failed again. At least this time we got a warning before the April 27th launch. Note 2, retailers had tell me that it was delayed for two weeks.

Well mine will arrive tomorrow and you can bet I'll be letting you all know if I get any lag :)

I'll keep an eye out for your comparison to the HTC One. Android is the way forward to me, but I think perhaps the HTC would be better. I'll have a bunch of questions waiting if you're cool with that!

Cheers dude... Will give it a try.. Can't wait to try everything out with my first android phone

Congratulations, hope you enjoy it. One bit of advice though, if I may, go into it open minded and try not to compare it with iOS, it is done different, both UI's are very good. Play around with it but don't judge it for a couple of weeks. :)

I have only used the stock brower so far. I have looked at trailers on imdb, yahoo, and watched some videos on you tube. No problem so far. I am unsure what uses flash player anymore but one might get hung if an alternate browser does not support it.

For color trial, go to you tube and search amazing scenery planet earth. It is hd and good 13 minute test. We need to get the same material to try with concerns for the color. Let me know what you think.

I want to buy the S4 off contract.

I'm on AT&T.

So far, it looks like AT&T is the cheapest place to buy the S4 without a contract, at around $639.

Anyone know of a cheaper place?

Cheers.. Yeah will take a while to get used to it.

Unfortunately chrome and Chrome beta both suck. Very Laggy and unstable. Google really need to improve them.
Regular browser ftw

Played with the s4 today. It's impressive especially the front.

Anyway I don't want to get into it but I think I'm happy with my decision to stick to the One.

For now.

See you in 3 days when you Switch to the S4 and then go and buy something else shortly after. ;)

Just pull a Batman and make your own phone.
