The main reason I'm excited about the S4 is because it gives us an idea of what the Note III might be like.

By the time I'm ready for an upgrade this year both will be out!

Maybe the gs5, but with htc and Sony failing hard compared to Samsung when it comes to a customer's perspective for "cool" right now, I doubt Samsung thinks they have to do anything to gs4. Right now their eyes are on apple, not htc or Sony.

Jumping ship to the GS4 as soon as I have enough money, which should be very shortly after launch. If the rumours about them making 100 million units are true then I expect it'll be cheaper than the GS3 but we'll see. If Samsung goes for volume over profit and sells for around the same price as the Nexus 4 they'll take over the market for sure and I'll be one happy geek.

That just isn't going to happen. By devaluing (offering their major high-end device at lower price point) their flagship handset they would basically have to devalue their ENTIRE range of phones.

Expect a £500 / €600 /$700 price for factory unlocked device, regardless of how many units they produce in the long term.

As good as these renders are, I am fully expecting a plastic s3, but bigger and more square.

I really hope the GS4 is an evolution on the GS3 rather than a bigger GS2. I really like the design of the GS3.

I'm considering this phone also. Getting really tired of boring iOS. But it's so hard to get out of the ecosystem I already have in place. If apple doesn't step it up with iOS7... i'll definitely have my first android phone with this.


fyi: Those renders are completely bogus. Samsung has always been completely plastic when it comes to phones. One of the reasons I always stuck with iphone.

Kind of like people expecting something amazing at the Apple keynotes for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. Too many people just set themselves up for a fail. They were both boring releases with minor adjustments.

Fair point. I think, however, it's fair to expect amazing things from a company that keeps touting how amazing they are. I think that's where the expectation and disappointment comes from. The expectation is set up often from Apple themselves.

I have not seen one render I like. I hope they're all wrong. I put a lot more emphasis on software and features than I do the actual design of a phone, but still. As much as I love thin bezel, there is such a thing as taking that too far. You need something there to actually hold on to without tapping the screen unintentionally.

Can't believe the lack of any substantial leaks. It's nice to actually have some mystery about what this thing will be like.

Apple figured out a way to detect 'accidental' touches from the edges on the iPad mini. Surely Samsung can Xerox that with ease.

It looks bigger than 5" to me, I haven't got my S3 any more but held my Nexus 4 similar to the second photo, either he has a very small hand or that looks Galaxy Note size to me.

As if it is a dual SIM device ? (which i know S4 won't be).

yeh he must have small hands, just compared my note 2 and it looks quite similar. the camera sensor looks much bigger too. The only thing to me that looks cheap is the back panel, surely they could come up with better.

The front seems to have some blackish color, not sure about the sides or back. Looks like gray/brushed aluminum color... In such case, very ugly phone, reminding me about that ATIV S they have for Windows Phone. They should have gone for all black.

I was not aware there was a dual SIM Note 2 for Chinese market. Just checked and there is.
