OK ... just watched that video and there are some pretty cool features available on the S6 Edge. I especially liked the emergency setting by triple tapping the power button and the cameras start recording and an SOS signal is sent to you designated contacts. That is a pretty innovative feature, but I would be a little concerned that it could be triggered accidentally. Maybe they could develop an alternate way to trigger it, but the concept is great.

The more I stare at the Edge, the more I am tempted to switch over my pre-order from the standard model.

I'm just picturing someone getting in bed with a chick, taking their phone out and putting on dresser or wherever and accidently activating that. And then responders to the SOS bashing through the door :D

For the longest time Apple charged more than other handsets because it was a premium phone with premium materials and premium design. The Apple faithful loved talking about the unibody design that didn't have a removable back for a replaceable battery. And that was fine because it was a premium design. Well, think of the Edge as a unique premium design for those that want something unlike anything else. And can afford the price of entry without thinking twice about it. Advanced designs cost money, if paying extra for such doesn't speak to you, stick with your cheaper built phone. Simple.

I should add, swiping in from the side has never been so smooth of a gesture. If you use Android, you know what I mean.

I like your perspective, and I honestly like the S6 Edge honestly. As the prices come down in the coming months I may pick one up :)

Did you order it through BB or from Verizon? On the Verizon site it shows available on 5/1? Sorry that was for the Gold/Platinum 64GB

Nice article from Bloomberg. Samsung stock evaluation has gone up 11 Billion since the March 1st announcement of the S6 and S6 edge.

Samsung Electronics Co., struggling to retain its place as the world’s largest smartphone maker, just had an $11 billion month.
That’s how much the South Korean company has added in market value since the March 1 introduction of its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the smartphones that will compete against Apple Inc.’s new iPhones. The shares have climbed 6.2 percent since the announcement for their best month since May 2014.

I ordered from VZW this morning. Got the white 64GB Edge. I wanted the gold/platinum but the estimate ship dates was starting at 5/01. So went with the white instead. Also pre order from BB last week but they say it might not be in the store until 4/12 so canceled.

I'm a bit nervous. Pre-ordered a 64GB Edge S6 Black after Apple announce the price of the Apple Watch, such a disappointment (519$ for 42mm Sport here in Canada). It's the first time since the 3GS i will leave Apple for phone.

All the review i read was very positive. But, on AndroidCentral, a couple of user receive her S6/S6 Edge and the Battery life was very bad from what i've read. I'm able to do around 8hours screen time and 36 hours standby with my 6+. But, what a phone !!!

Anyways, the shipping start April 10 in Canada and i have 14 days to try it.

I have read everything i can on the S6 edge. All the reviews from some of the TMO users that got the phone early say average battery life. I have the 6+ too and it won't get that kind of battery life. The 6+ is bigger and has a bigger battery. Battery on the S6 should last all day for most people.

Agree but on my 6+ i don't turn off any features like location services, wifi when not used, brightness to minimum, etc.

I don't want to turn off all these features on the S6 only to get a normal day of battery life.

i don't on my 6 + either. From all the reviews from the T-Mobile users who have had their S6 for a few days now say the battery life is average. Not great not bad just average. That is when all the services on and normal use.
Tech reviewers say it is on par with the IP6. But i won't know until i get my hands on one...

Yeah the ip6 had just about enough juice to see you through a day, unless you were really heavy user. The difference between it and the 6+ was considerable. I wish the G6 /6E had similar battery to the 6+ but thats wishful thinking i guess.

As long as i can get through the day i guess it doesn't matter but like everyone else i still fret when i see my battery down to 15% at the end of the day. Especially after being spoilt by the likes of the 6+, Note 4, Nexus 6.

oh and like yourselves, i don't think we should have to routinely turn features like bluetooth / nfc off just to eek out battery.

Just played with the S6 Edge at bestbuy for a half hour and I'm very impressed. I'm not going to get one until the green version is available. If they take too long to release the green version, then I'll just wait for the Note 5.

Through a Verizon. I can't preorder through BB yet b/c I work there. I would've had to wait. So, I just did mine through Verizon.

When i talked to the people in the mobility dept at BB they said they might not get their shipment in until 4/11 or 12. So i canceled my pre order and went with VZW this morning for the white 64GB Edge. VZW said it might ship early but I would have it by 4/10.

I'm hoping it ships early. I know T-Mobile's devices are. And at my store, we're getting our phones in on the 10th.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review: The best phone money can buy?: https://youtu.be/q4QbQmJd-ZQ

Sadly watching video there is still some micro stutters in app drawer and recents and home button have that micro lag of Samsung past.

Still their best phone, but still annoyed about TW.

What a great review! I agree that is the phone nerds phone for 2015...until the Note 5 Edge anyway.
But honestly if that little micro stutter bothers then just don't get the phone. I didn't see any stutters or lag but to each his own. Its not worth getting a phone and then complain about it.
